Have a couple of people on my server that have come up with unique ways to mess with me lol.

They named themselves very similar to my set up and send me tells like "Follow is broken" and "I'm attacked" etc. I get a good laugh, but the one that is just wrong is when they name them almost identical hoping that i misspell a name in the mailbox and send them something i'm meaning to send an alt.

So be careful if you dont use a mail mod that auto completes names.

Crafty little devils.

Gotta laugh and marvel at how low some people will stoop.

Heh, I was in a hardcore raid guild in the 60 days. I raided as a healing priest and had perfect attendance from the first pull in ZG to the first kill of Ragnaros. I was first in line for benediction and had more DKP than anyone else in the guild due to my attendance + being nice and passing gear to the poorly played priests because I knew I could still out-heal them all in blues while their in T1. So finally our first drop off major domo for benediction comes. I had already completed all the quests and had the other pieces to make benediction on the spot. When I announced this as they asked the priests who should get the first one, our guild leader told me I was a traitor to the guild and an ass for not telling the other priests that they can pre-complete the quest chain and get the other item (like it wasn't common knowledge and I thought everyone knew, we had been farming the eyes for weeks). So he stripped me of all DKP and my lead priest spot and gave the item to his best friend who happened to have an alt priest we we're gearing with MC on farm status.

This guild had a simple name that confused everyone and was misspelled the same way constantly. I logged after the raid and created a lvl1 bank toon with the same spelling as the commonly misspelled bank toon and that guild single handedly funded my first multi-box group.

Gynocyde, that was low. Under those circumstances I would have done the same thing and laughed every time I got something in the bank.

Scumbag guilds are why I multibox and avoid people, I had a case where I screwed up a mailing to an alt and it went to a guildy, he kept it and was quite rude about it, scumbags dont last long in my world, I am glad to hear the one guy got some payback on that guild.

it very recently does yes. but not every alts are in friendlists or same guild. it would solve the guildbank issue though (and the guild bank also solves it; nobody sends gold to guildbank toon by mail when you can just deposit it directly... the above is about "good old times" when we needed to go to school bare foot in the snow; uphill; both ways...

I thought there were rules against impersonating another person.

http://www.wow-europe.com/en/policy/scam.html

Think this probably qualifies under the acquiring items or other 'possessions' through misinformation or confusion.

Come on guys. This was a funny story about something that happened long ago. Don't get caught up in the whole "was it right or was it wrong" thing. Read the story and get a kick of out it.

When me and my gf are watching movies she ALWAYS gets caught up in the improbable scenarios, or the "that wouldn't happen" ideas and her enjoyment is ruined by it. The Dark Knight movie? She was fine until the scene where the 18 wheeler flipped over. "That couldn't have happened! The trailer is too long and too heavy for everything to flip over like that," and she was done with the movie.

Enjoy the story for what it is. Don't judge the morale rights of what happened. Just look read the story and move on.
