How is it slower?
My solo shaman was hauling. I would think that with 2+ it would be even quicker especially with 2 x flame tongues, 1 strength, 1 armor (or stoneclaw to hold aggro for a second). Is you main enhancement and the clone/follower elemental?
Did you set up a cast sequence or keybind to rip out your totems + abilities in order? Lots of macro would make it easy work I would imagine but I have only been multi-boxing for 4-5 days and have gotten alot of great knowledge that I never needed to worry about before on a solo toon.
Are you purely grinding or questing? I am triple boxing and it slows down when I hit gather quests... uggh. But on the kill X of ??? mobs it is so much quicker. Additionally if you were 3 accounting it you would get the group XPs on top of the rested XPs.

My problem is more that they are both elemental, when i kill a mob it gives 40 exp or something, when im questing i need to change window all the time to loot the mob on my clone to get the quest completed. Maybe with 2 mages i can just AoE them all. Questing is just going shitty now and im just spamming lightning bolts and shocks :p

Well the other option is to go pure grinding. Shaman's as a whole are decent at this with their totems and such. Maybe get to a target rich area where lots of non-aggrowing mobs hang out (The shore with crabs west of Deadmines) and blast them all down 1-2-3 at a time on a continual basis.
Drop a heal totem + 2 flame tongues + armor + strength and maybe post one shaman with no follow and convert 2nd to enhancement to run around and pull targets.
Failing that try to get them into an instance for pure experience point grinding.
I feel your pain on the questing. I am doing same thing with 3 low toons and gathering quests are my bane. Another option might be to use maximizer to give you a small window for your alt in a corner of your screen to alow you to mouse-over and loot it. That is all I can offer.

Yeah i was thinking of pure instance grinding. But deadmines, how should i handle it? Spec my clone resto and myself be enchancement?

I have both of my Shamen as Ele and have been tearing ass through lvls and quests alike; get back clone in max range for casting, don't waste mana on totems for single pulls, bolt bolt shock should kill most singlepull mobs, finish leftovers with melee + flametongue(or the ice weapon if you have it; slow effect + better dmg per hit since you'd only melee at-death).
For groups, have a hotkey set to drop stoneskin on main, stoneclaw on alt; when alt's wears off/dies, drop stoneclaw with main and stoneskin on alt(I do the 2nd manually but you could hotkey them if you want) and keep focusing on bolt/bolt/highest-dmg shock, preferably not fire as it's mostly a dot. Only use Fire Nova for really big groups that you've made sure to get a hit on them all first too, otherwise stick to Searing.
I dunno why you're only getting 40exp, I got more than that per kill; is someone besides your shamen hitting the mob? Is there a high lvl in the party? Both can drain the exp you get from the mob, and, stupid question, are your shamen partied?

I stopped levelling my toons together from lvls 1-20. The xp per kill wasn't that great and it was a serious 'grind' for some of the item collection quests.
After 20, grouping your toons together seems to be a better idea. Especially with the new (after 2.3) improvements to levelling.
After 30, no contest... multi-boxing all the way.
I think it's posted somewhere here, but there used to be a chart showing XP rates. The chart showed from levels 1-70 how much xp you got per kill with and without rested, in a group with 1/2/3/4 others, etc.,.. I don't recall the chart displaying xp grouped with diff levels or whatever though.
(I can't seem to find it, but I'll continue looking.)

Yeah already made new plans. Got a 60 draenei mage. One-box leveling a new one now, and put them at 60 in a team. I'll 2 box 60-70 and have fun :P Because leveling goes ass slow now i really dont enjoy wasting so much time every level on 2 boxing, i just level another mage since they are very easy to level :P I'll be around 25 in the weekend. And my main can boost them aswell.
Kind Regards,

With very test i've done, leveling from 1-20 can be slow, just do instance and rested bonus helps :D

I 5-box shamans and they burn through levels, collection quests or not.
AoE grinding would probably be a good idea too, definitely a nice change of pace.
sorry for the hijack  but i've just started boosting 4 shammies on my lvl70 shaman and i've noticed that if I kill a mob with totems alone (e.g. pull half of RFC, drop a fire nova) nobody gets any XP :(
It's been a while since i played my shaman, but I seem to remember reading in the world of warcraft forums that killing stuff with totems alone intentionally doesn't give xp, is this true? Basically it's a pain, and i was wondering if there is there any way around it other than to damage each and every mob first before dropping the fire nova totem?

The same system also exists for pets. If a pet does all the damage and kills a mob alone, no one gets XP for that. In that case, tag the mobs with your 70 and then go to town. Pick up a fast lowbie dagger and just poke the mobs once. You should be good to go.
Also, what about Lightning Shield? Does that count towards XP?

Yes that can happend, if you hit the mobs for 1 damage yourself first then they will. Hunters/warlocks also dont get ANY experience if their pets kill a mob. Maybe that counts for totems aswell.
Hoped that helped you ;)

Edit: Lol didnt readed the post up this one :P
