I'm finding more and more opportunity to multibox WotLK raids these days. Mostly due to all my guildies have been running long enough that we don't need full on 25 maximum output people in every raid. 20 is usually just fine (except for EoE). Every week, I can expect to 5-box VoA once and multi to fill missing classes the rest to get all my toons through every week, but that's uber easy mode anyways.

I've run 2 toons through OS twice (once by accident, I thought I was doing VoA) and both times I was splitting Heals and ranged DPS. I feel fairly confident that I can bring any number of ranged DPS and manage to avoid flame walls and void zones on a regular basis. Since I do 2 full runs of Naxx-25 every week, there's usually at least 1 opportunity to multi-box Naxx-25. However, I'm usually taking that opportunity to bring in one of my 3 very poorly geared to come along for the ride (Rogue/DK-DPS/Boomkin). I'll do what I can on the second toon, which is usually melee, but I'm usually mostly focusing on just 1 of my toons, which is usually a healer. Healer/melee just not a great combo to multi-box... But since I am quite often Main tanking or primary off-tanking the other Naxx-25 run for my guild, I don't get people complaining at me too much at my crap DPS numbers on my melee toon.

So far in Naxx-25 my multi-boxing experience has been: All of spider wing (easy), Patchwerk (easy), Gluth (easy), Thaddius (not so easy, I intentionally left my melee toon off way in the back to the side and didn't use him at all, but I could see using a warlock w/ a demonic circle and a mage w/ Blink to make transitions simple), Instructor (Easy), Gothik (my off-toon didn't do much actually because we were short on healers and my second was melee. He only contributed when we were on the boss), Four-Horseman (easy unless you have a special assignment), Noth (easy), Loatheb (easy), Sapphiron (took a little bit to get it right, occasionally I would not get all my toons behind one of the ice cubes correctly), Kel'thuzad (The one time I multiboxed this, my rogue was in tow. Rather than risk being a problem for the raid, I ran him into one of the alcoves in Phase II and just let him die while I focused on my healing. One of the more difficult to multibox, especially if you are using a melee).

Grats! I can't wait to ding 80, I think I might even move my 2nd team (once both teams are 80) to other accounts so I can 10 box and *hopefully* pull of 10 mans myself lol.

Gratz on your success so far.

Now its time to step it up a notch and start playing one of the key roles. :)

I've main healed and DPSed at the same time before. I've also been main and off-tank on original VoA at the same time (but that's stupid easy). I do try to avoid mixing responsibilities with tanking. I can heal and DPS, but just not good enough to tank and do anything else.

Nice.
So far I have run all 5 of my toons in raids for the guild as I make up 20-25% of the raid/Guild atm. We are doing ok I've been lucky that the others are well geared and can carry me alot. I have a mixed team but I feel sometimes that my contribution is small. Some tanking some healing and DPS the dps is good but the other two can be a little schetchy. But with more practice working together I think we can do really well but I'll drop either a healer or a tank and pick up another DPS to make things easier. I would love to see some raid videos if you have any, to see if you are positioning any differently than a standard raid team.

I'm curious, how would you go about doing Thaddius with 3 or more toons?
first theres the jump off the ledge, then making sure you get on the right side each time the buff changes...seems impossible without some extremely good macros and insanely fast hands/eyes

I'm not really doing any more than 2 or 3 and it's usually to fill in because someone had to leave and a spot opens we can't fill....

I have not done three on Thaddius, but here's an approach I would take... Have a mage do featherfall. Then you can just run off the ledge and make it with a standard follow macro...

Some classes are going to be easier than others... However, it is my understanding that very long ranged attackers (hunters) can stand in one spot the entire time regardless of charge. I haven't tested this but the idea is put them at their max range and park them. The rest of the raid needs to stay at the minimum range and there should be enough distance between you and them if it's a conflicting charge to not cause a problem. Other things to consider, mages can blink to isntantly change sides on any charge. Warlocks can use their summoning circle to their advantage to change sides 50% of the time. These abilities make change sides less of a pain. Regardless you will have to be very attentive and very fast and be able to simultaneously track which side all your toons are on and which side they should be on after a polarity shift.

for thaddius what I do is park two at max range and just nuke, then trade charge with two (assuming I have all 4 in). You can park them quite a ways out and they should be well out of range of the charge madness :)
