View Full Version : Jamba will NOT be updated in time for 3.1.

I've heard that 3.1 will come out before April 12th. Unfortunately for Jamba users I'm on holiday and have no way of testing Jamba with 3.1.
I'm unable to update Jamba until May. ;(
So if there are problems with Jamba and 3.1, I'm sorry. If there are any addon developers that do fix any problems with Jamba in 3.1, I will be happy to incorporate their fixes into Jamba and put a new version up for download.
Hopefully the problems will be minimal and most of Jamba will work...

Good one, not your fault on either case but add-ons break with major upgrades. We can live for a month ..... maybe.. 8o

Thanks for the heads up. I know that Jamba has become invaluable for my DK team.
Hope you enjoy yourself on holiday.

I'll see what I can do to fix issues beyond the version bump :)

Just worry about enjoying your time off!
We can survive a couple weeks without the addon (speaking only for myself). Honestly, it may do some of us some good by forcing us to change how we do some things. I try not to depend on addons at all specifically for these types of occasions, only using them to make something easier. Some others may be a little TOO dependent on it. :P
I haven't had a chance to say this in other threads yet, but thanks for such an awesome addon!

For the majority of things we use Jamba for there haven't been significant API changes - which means it won't likely break. You will just need to set to out of date and give it a go.
I know if I get any errors I'll be addressing them myself if an update isn't incoming from Jafulu (which we now know it's not) and I'll be glad to post any changes back to the community.

I've ran it on the PTR and the only issue that I saw was the auto-accept invites. I hit my invite macro, and all my slaves kept declining the invites. I went through it to make sure everything was set up properly, and finally disabled auto-accept on all the slaves and manually accept the invites. Other than that, I've had zero problems on PTR. Very nice addon. :)

More seriously: I can also try to help if I get errors post 3.1 - do you have time to put the code into sourceforge ?
ps: for the US guys around, he meant vacation not holiday ;-)

I've applied a fix for the Accept Invite issue and repackaged Jamba as Jamba_v0.4d_FanUpdate.zip
However, I don't want to step on toes in terms of posting someone else's addon... I can host it as a direct download link on my own server or post upload it here if Iknew where and that Jafula was okay with me doing this.
Please advise.
UPDATE:: I've gone ahead and hosted a copy of the patched version as a direct download from my own server (I run no advertisements and am going to link direct to the downloadable file instead of putting it on a page somewhere). I hope this is acceptable... Will post ONE link to it in the official Jamba thread ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=195946#post195946').
