so basically i dont multibox (yet). tried dual boxing a while ago and loved it, gave me more to do in wow, which im finding really boring lately ;( . and so im thinking i mite start 2 or 3 boxing soon. dont really have the pc or cash to support 5 as much as i would like. they might come in the future though.

if your australian then you probly know about krudds little payout, i THINK im getting it, no one really knows cus its so dam confusing imo. either way if i do thats $900, and about $100 or so of that is going towards 2 accounts that i will RAF off my main.

still undecided what 3 classes, or even the same class i will roll. i like pvp and pve, so something that is viable in both would be preferred.

hardware wise i run a dual core 3400, 8500gt gfx card, 3gb ram.. ive run 3 accounts b4, just used trials. seemed to run OK. although using 3 wows running in minimised form did not work out, but apparently thats just wow. ive already got keyclone (love it btw) and a 22inch LCD, thinking of buying a second 22inch, or 19 or so..

i get confused on macros and things as far as running multiple classes i dont know how to do that just yet, but plenty of guides here so thats nps.

anyways ive talked enough for now, ill keep yall posted :)

Welcome to the little club. :)

My advice? Start slow, and small. Play at least one class you know - with RAF you can level many characters, so if one doesn't work out, it's no big deal. If you 3 box, go for the holy trinity of tank/healer/dps, you should be fine. I went all the way through Northrend to Icecrown with 3, there were maybe 3 or 4 encounters that were truly hard, and I had no dedicated tank or healer.

If you're going to level toons from level 1, you have plenty of time to see how your macros will work, and what strats to use - it's jumping in at high levels where it can get confusing fast.

Also, if you don't have one, get a guild and a bank. It will help a LOT. I spent a lot of my money leveling on bank slots instead of epic flyers, and I don't regret it at all. I have 5 bank slots, and I have a LOT stored away.

As for the rest - keep reading here. All you need is right here, and if you truly get stuck, ask.

It's always easiest running all the same class and spec, because you just dulicate the same spells. IMO, go for 3 shaman first. They are the easiest to manage ranged dps class that can heal/rez. But as always, play the classes that you enjoy. If you enjoy melee, you could go that route too. Just have fun with it, it is a game after all.

id say to start off with 3 i will most likely try 3 shamans. at least till i get the hang of it, then ill see what happens. i read in patch notes about them fixing something with range and assisting that was a problem for boxers?? idk much..

i dont mind melee but being in Aus i get lag and even on my single rogue, or pally it can be a real pain in pvp so id say ill stick to range dps.

im hoping to have a lot of fun as lately im just finding WoW boring. i get annoyed in pvp cus my little rogue gets flogged by the current "OP" classes (cough dk) :p

as for server im not sure but im thinking ill be horde, currently alli but kinda over them and need a change of scenery.

im pretty hopeless with macros atm but would like to have 2 of one class, and a healer probably.. any ideas?

also are the any other australian multiboxers, and what realm are they on, would be nice to play with a boxer thats in my time zone :(

I purposely chose classes I'd never played before, to try them, and found i really enjoy locks, mages, and druids. Right now I'm leveling a pally, a priest, and a shaman, and I'm finding I don't like pallys that much, I like my priest, and i'm okay with my shaman, but he's kind of boring. *shrug*. That's me. I've leveled a rogue, so my next team will probably be a combo of warrior/hunter/something else, possibly another druid. I've got DKs waiting to level, too.

Start with what you know, and start slow. Macros are a *must*, so start digging in - I know they can be really confusing at first, but there's excellent material here and on the wiki. Start simple, with basic tasks like /follow, /assist, and a main attack/cast sequence. Set up a simple heal macro, one for each character, and learn the ins and outs of keybinding, another skill you really need.

Except for RAF time, you have plenty of time. It's okay if you level one of each class to 20-30, decide you don't like it, and reroll. That's what MB is all about - *options*. It's up to you. Your first team may not be your final team, or even make it to 80. My first team was two mages, and I broke the team up at 35 - one is 80 now, they other is still 35. It's cool. It's okay if you take some time and just go around starting zones and just try stuff - and die in teh attempt. Just try it - nothing is permanent in this game, and with 3 accounts, you have a lot of things you can try out.

Heck, you can even easy-mode it, and start a team with a DK or such and blast through leveling with a quest helper.

yeah thats true, im liking my 2 troll mages and priest atm, they are quite good at just nuking mobs. cant afford many new skills being on a new server but going to take up mining, herbs and skinning or something for gold.
although i like this team, im finding that being clothies i just get flogged sometimes, so thinking a tank, dps and healer mite be better, i dont know, just someone to take all the agro.

im slowly working out macros, been trying to set on up in particular today, trying to cast a renew, then a lesser heal on the same button? and at the same time basically, minus the GCD. couldnt work it out though.

and even with my trolls at lvl 10 ive already gotten hate tells, jealous ppl id say :p or just losers. but also get ppl cheering and saying cool, so thats good. i mainly just ignore the haters anyway.

im interested in what servers other aussies or active boxers play on, i tried mag but i was getting bad lag there ;(
