View Full Version : DualHead2Go Digital - image quality/performance?

I'm running a single 285 and was looking to add a 3rd monitor to my setup. I've read some reviews about this before, but really could not get a definitive answer.

My main concern is that the device only has a VGA (not DVI) input - wouldn't this pose an image quality/bandwidth issue when you're essentially trying to output at 3840 x 1200 (or something similar)?

Last question for anyone using one - are there any performance hits associated exclusively with using the device such as any processing delays in splitting the image?

Thanks!

I'll be dammed if I cant remember the link of an article about this from what I remember there is some slight color degradation but I think this was with the triplehead version

There is dvi version called Matrox DualHead2Go Digital Edition.

But considering the price the only reason I can think to buy one of these is if yeh dont have an extra slot for another graphics card.

I definitely have a slot for another video card, so please correct me if I'm wrong : )
