multiboxing on the PTR

Has anyone tried this yet? i have everyone copied over, with 5x my original gold thanks to transferring toons over... but the issue is my key bindings and macros are all gone. i tried copying the WTF folders, but it seemed to make no difference. I remember hearing earlier that that stuff is storedon the server now, but is that true? I'd love to try this out, I'm loving the AOE roots and instant cast 11k lava bursts and plan on camping around Ulduar and trying some WSG (which is usually about 8 destro warlocks per team).

yes, macro's are stored on wow's servers now.

I don't think it'll work quite that way for the test realm.

You'll have to go into your copied WTF folder and rename the folder corresponding to your old realm.

I believe there is a /backupMacros command and a /restoreMacros (or maybe it's /reloadMacros or /loadMacros).

Just log on to current acct, do the backup, log off, copy saved macros lua from wtf of live to ptr wow/wtf location, load up the PTR version, and then do the restore command. That SHOULD do it, but I don't know the commands offhand.

on your live server characters type /script BackupMacros()

then copy the WTF folder to teh PTR one and as long as your characters keep the same name, (if they dont just move each individual character folder to the PTR ones)

log into your PTR toons and type /script RestoreMacros()
