Current one is Pally/Druid love this setup both can rez and pally has that /instant taunt that will taunt up to 3 mobs and both have some aoe + auro/thorns is great.
Because you can level up so fast with RAF I was thinking about leveling a second team up to 60 before my time runs out. I have a mage and rogue already so dont prefer doing another of them although mage/mage is very tempting just to try out blizzard.
Looking for thoughts on my ideas:
sham enh/sham ele
sham enh or ele/ sham resto
sham/warlock
sham/hunter
sham/priest

I've done a bunch of different two person teams (wish I had time and money to make 5 since it is so fun :) ) and for shear ease of use I have to say my enh shammy/ele shammy combo was the best. Having rezzes plus self rezzes along with 15 minute hearth plus RAF summon made them go very very fast. It was pretty easy to have the enh shammy tank a mob too while having the ele shammy blast it. Not sure if two pure casters would be more efficient but it was lots of fun and 60 came faster than I ever thought possible.
The bottom line though is to try out all kinds of different characters that fascinate you and have fun with them
Good luck

I went and created two mages and it was a lot of fun but I think Im going to go the ele/ehn shaman route because heal and rez is a big bonus in the long run.

Rez and heal would indeed be very helpful when lvling. But if you go Mage/Warlock or something and you are able to take on mobs like nothing then you would not need to be able to rez. With the Warlocks healthstones and soulstones and mages iceblock / blink / gems its easy to live also. There are many combos that would be good. You could go some kind of AoE and a healer/backup dps and you can grab 10 mobs and AoE em all down. This would also be a very effective way to lvl, atleast with RaF.
But it does depend on you liking. As in do you enjoy playing Melees? Casters? Healers? . You can also try out a few diff classes and just lvl to 10 or something and see how you enjoy the group.
Hope this helps,

ya mage/warlock combo sounds great too. I have a lvl 58 mage and know the potential of dual blizzards going off. Do shamans offer much for AOE? I started messing around with different combos but they are all like lvl 2-4 never played a shaman
Why not try hunter and warlock. 2 pets will tank
Warrior/Priest too is classic
It's better to have a tank in your setup to make your group quest easier
