I want to dualbox RAF but I have a question

I have an 80 death knight on my main account. But I want to have a mage and druid as my RAF, so do I buy two new wow accounts? And to whom do I link it to?

Also can I transfer them right after I get to 60? Because I don't really need them on separate accounts and I just want to get the 300% exp + Zebra mount.

Also what is this "cloth turn in" quest people talk about in RAF guides? I remember they give you rep and stuff but whats the significance of it? For instance, in a guide the guy said make sure to get x amount of each cloth for your RAF accounts. Do the quests give exp and they are repeatable or something? Thanks for the help guys.

Hi,

There is a ton of threads about RAF, i know this because im one of the posters.. :D
Anyway, the way you want to do it if you will be bosting is: Account A (High lvl char) this Account needs to be unlinked. So you start Account B and refere Account C.
About the mount though. i think you only get the mount on 1 account this way. (Account B)

Here is a link to the wiki ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/RAF') also you could read.

Why do many people suggest not linking your main account with which you boost? From my personal experience (though this may differ from others) I linked my accounts: main -> new a->new b (lol) -> new c -> new d

Main is the account I use to boost, and I have always gotten the RAF xp bonus on my lower 4. So where is the advantage in not linking the main account? It seems the only thing it would accomplish is forfeiting grantable levels from new a to main.

They say that because the wiki says it , you and I both know it to be otherwise though.

Has Blizzard changed this?

Hmm...I'm also wondering if this was changed? From Blizzard Support Page:

Do our characters (my character and my recruit's character) have to be same level in order to receive triple experience?

No, but you must be within 4 levels of one another and meeting all other triple experiences requisites in order for both characters to receive triple experience. If this level requirement is not met, only the lower level character will receive the bonus.

For example: Should your character be 5 levels higher than your recruit, only your recruit's character will be eligible for triple experience (provided that all other requirements are met, as well).

Will the experience bonus apply to only one character? Or are all characters linked to the account eligible to receive it?

All characters below level 60 on both the veteran and recruit account are eligible to receive the experience bonus.

Right because the wiki was here first before anyone ever contributed to the forums.

Really this is super easy to test out, fire up some level one's that are linked Booster->BoosteeA->BoosteeB and just wand stuff in the starting area. You do get RAF experience, as you'll see. Please, someone else confirm this =)

I'm not saying the forums didn't dicuss it, I'm just saying that the wiki is more easily read (THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!) and thus more accessible to folks starting out. So it's probably where most folks got their info from.

So what about the cloth turn in's?

Basically there are cloth quest turn ins for each major faction both on the ally side and the horde side. The NPC's are called cloth quartermasters and are usually located by tailoring trainers. I tried it once around lvl 45 on some alts and bascially all it got my toons was one level for the cloth turnins at that level. You need 60 each of each cloth (wool, silk, etc) for each turn in. You can only do the turn in once per clothquarter master to get XP. Here's some more info on the quests: http://www.wowwiki.com/Cloth_quartermaster
