Hey all,
I usually don't venture out of the MMORPG General forum much any more since my focus is on Anarchy Online. My ability and comfort with multiboxing this game has increased greatly and I have a good routine running 4 characters. The plan is to expand in time but...
...here is the reason for posting here:
The current /follow mechanism requires the target to be manually selected every time you zone and there is no /target to boot. I'm fine that there isn't a /target but the /follow really needs to change. I've weathered the trolls when posting this suggestion in the official forums and have also sent the suggested change directly via email. My concern is that there isn't a loud enough voice to get them to really consider this change.
I need your help in petitioning Funcom to get them to change the /follow mechanism to allow a named parameter like it is in WoW and many other MMORPG's.

You may be saying "I don't play, or will ever consider playing, AO" and that's cool too but the game is trying to evolve into something better. This is the best time to get them game more multiboxing friendly when they are starting to make changes that people have been asking years for. Also they are working on the game engine upgrade to make it DX9c. Consider the linked image for some of the graphical changes. This isn't a final image, it's still in flux but it's a great example of the proposed before and after for the game avatars. The game has an incredible depth of character development and now with the engine change it will have the best of both worlds.

If you can spare a moment of your time to help with this please send an email to feedback@anarchy-online.com and in a few of your own words kindly ask them to change /follow to take a name of a character. Simple as that.
I hope you will consider helping a fellow boxer in making a path to help our kind of gamer.
