Ok i just got my hands on the car for next to nothing, the only car i have ever had with OD is an old v8 capri my old man put together(im from the uk ...not alot of cars with OD period) and that had a switch to select it.
As far as i can tell its the 700r4 gearbox.
So my question is where the hell is it?.
ps. you guys put engines together well 180k and running sweet as a nut ?(

My family had a 91 Astro. And the OD button was located on the blinker arm end...theres a little circle we use to push in on the end.
hope that helps.
Cheers.

Noo..poor van, what type of ppl are you!, on a more serious note ill either have my fun and ebay it for 5 times what i paid for it (which was my excuse to the misses for buying it) or ill drive it till the van falls off the engine, give it a rebuild then wedge it into some old ford (blashphemy i know).
I must be losing the plot, im sure your post said wall of bricks and not cardboard boxes
