Today seems to be one of those days. Look, I know you have been a sys admin since dirt was new and before color was invented, but you need to swallow your pride, and shut the hell up until you understand that YOUR DOING IT WRONG! There is a right way to set up Small Business Server and every other way is wrong. No, you cant just add it to your domain like any other server. Fine do it your way and when it shuts off every two hours you can fix that problem your own way as well.
Have you finished the To Do List yet? No. Then you havent finished installing sbs yet, do the to do list. I dont want to, I just need help adding users because its not working. *sigh*
Did you use the add user wizard to set up this account? No. Use the wizard sir. Thats not how I did it on other servers. *cry*
What is your domain name? Randomname.local Ok then why does it say .com here? That was wrong so we changed it. You have to reinstall then sir. No we cant do that. Then we cant fix it. I want to talk to your manager! *sigh*
Thats right sir, it should shut off every 2 hours if you put it in a workgroup. No sir, I cant make it stop doing that untill it is set up properly. Thats your opinion sir, but if you want it set up like that you will need to buy a different OS. Ill let my mother know that sir. The next time I create an OS ill be sure to add that sir.
I get this at least 2-3 times a week, but today is going for a record, im on my 5th "you need to make sbs do what I want" call.
