Keywire doesnt see an update in like forever, clonedkeys lacks basic features(author mentioned an update in like 4 months ago, no word so far)
Do we have any other options???
I did use the search to look for alternatives, would use keywire, but its broken after 10.5.6.
I'm looking into butler, since I saw some people mention it in some threads, but after fidling with it for a hour I have no clue what to do with it, if someone could give me some pointers on that.

I could also use my macbook to run my second client, just need folow and heal to work on that :P But from what I could gather synergy on a mac doesnt have the key broadcast patch.

Any ideas? help? I dont want to bootcamp just to play my dualbox. :(

yeah.. thats the feeling i got from it too, but i saw in a couple topics people using it, and so far not banned.
keywire has most of the functions needed, could use some new features, and some polish on the blacklist (right now you have to blacklist the key, shift+key, capslock+key, just to get one key blacklisted), but other than that it works fine. thing is the author vanished, and as far as i remember its closed source. if you make a search here on the forums you should find the topic for it.
right now i'm ;( using bootcamp and using keyclone(simply awesome).

There have been a couple of threads on Mac software boxing so there are other Mac users out there. Not of the thread have been very promising. I agree with you offer though. I would pay to get some of the functionality and stability of KeyClone.

(currently using clonedkeys to run my poor little MacBook into the ground)

I'm having no problem using the synergy client 1.2.6 on my mac to recieve the broadcasted keys from my XP machine. I'm also using the latest version clonekeys and it works, it's not fancy but it works.

Does ClonedKeys get bogged down for you if you spam too much?
Ex: Casting continues long after mob is dead and you stop pressing; Slaves won't strafe out of AoE because they are still casting old presses.

I don't know if it's ClondKeys or my overworked computer.

I've resorted to running a metronome at 70 bpm to keep me from spamming.

CloneKeys doesn't get bogged down - I did have a problems w/ ClonedKeys (I don't remember what they were) - which is why I switched back to CloneKeys.

I see. wasn't reading closely enough. I have been using ClonedKeys. I will trying CloneKeys tonight.

Playing around with it I can't seem to get the backlisted keystrokes working in the .4 beta version. Did you just unbind them in WoW?
If CloneKeys doesn't get as bogged down as ClonedKeys then I'm willing to just do that.

Yeah I unbound them. For switching between keybindings, I use an addon called keyprofiler - i have a boxing keybinding setup saved and one keybinding setup as default. Just a a click on the dropdown menu and the keybindings are changed.

Keyprofiler. Thanks for the info.

No need to reinvent the wheel. Use Boot Camp to install Windows. Then:

1) You'll have the nice smooth, native graphics rendered in DirectX.
2) You'll have LOTS more options as far as keyboard broadcasting software. (Keyclone!)

I 5-boxed on a Macbook Pro until about 63 (when I needed to start entering Shattrath City), and I wouldn't even think about going back after seeing the performance difference on a "built" Vista machine.

Edit: Going from Mac OS Leopard --> Windows XP 32-bit, I noticed a +20FPS upgrade once I was in Windows using DirectX. The MBP I used had the 8600M GT, and my video options went from maxing out at 4x Multisampling --> 8x Multisampling and looked SOOOOO much better in Windows. Been there, done that. Just install it!

The thing is, personally, I'd rather not use windows at all, I have everything that I need on my mac, but the multiboxing software.
Actually I've been playing on windows, cause of lack of mac software for multiboxing, huge improvement? for 5 box, yeah.. but up to triple boxing theres absolutely no reason to use bootcamp just for wow... it runs just fine on macos... and i have all the other softwares i use with me, with no need to reboot.... while on windows, argh.. its windows... heck.. hate that thing with a passion.
