I'd like the 5 boxers who have completed most if not all of the heroic WotLK instances to comment on which Heroics are the easiest and which are the hardest.

I'm not saying don't comment if you have something to say. I think it might be nice to have an expert opinion on this list.

Hachoo, I'm sorry to single you out, but you seem to be one of the more successful boxers and certainly one of the most willing to share tip/videos/strategies...would you mind adding to your "sticky video" posting the order of difficulty you find the instances to be. I've been a big fan of yours for a while now and it would be certainly helpful to be able to have a starting point and a progression to an end.

Thanks to all who decide to contribute.

halls of stone (just brann really), occulus, azjol-nerub, old kingdom are the hardest to multibox
draktharon, gundrak are the easiest
rest are pretty much in between, once you do em once or twice without a single wipe they are all fairly easy. utgarde pinnacle for example wiped me at least 40+ times when I first started, but this week I have been running it daily (to get my DK a blue dragon lol) and haven't died once.

My go-to instance is violet hold, on days when I only have 30 mins to play I will usually run this instance in 20 mins or so.

I can add some general info to the video thread but yes there is already a ranked thread...

IMO the easiest is Gun'Drak - was my first Heroic, I've always found it to be easiest, plus it has 5 badges, and you can even skip a big chunk of trash if you want. I can do this instance in ~25 min max (maybe 20 with trash skipping) and for 5 badges that makes it the best to farm IMO.

Aside from that DTK is pretty easy minus novos (but once you get him down hes pretty easy too) and goes very fast. UK is fairly easy but takes way too long for only 3 badges. Culling of Strat is pretty easy too if you're not going for any speed records.

Hardest is Halls of Stone, for sure - I mean its really not even worth trying unless you care about achievements. Oculus just requires too many mods and setup time to be worth it (unless you really care about achievements).

Middle of the road (either due to group makeup or learning curve) are VH, UP, HoL.

Once you get geared, IMO the best farming loop is Gundrak, DTK, CoS - if you can managed timed thats 14 badges in probably 1 1/2 hours. You could then hearth back to Dalaran and run VH for another 3 badges in 20 minutes.

I'll update some info in the Video thread with a rating on a scale of 10 for my particular group makeup for each dungeon :)

Awesome little write up. Thank you to those who take the time to respond and in particular Hachoo (again) and Talamarr for the link to the other thread.

I'd say Hachoo is spot on. Im probably a month behind him in his achievements but i've found myself following the same course. Gundrak to DTK to CoS is my badge farming loop. I've been doing it for a few weeks now. I have pretty much everything i can get badge wise so now im only doing it for rep and the enchanting mats. If you are an achievement whore good luck doing the harder ones, i certainly cant be bothered myself :)

I endorse Hachoo's comments as well - that's the exact same loop I was running while amassing emblems for gear :)

Ya I'm with Hachoo as well! I did the same loop but i also thru UK to the end of it, and finally first boss of HoL if i wasn't to tired by then.

Might be important to know what kind of group you're running. Different groups will find some instances/bosses easier than others.

Might be important to know what kind of group you're running. Different groups will find some instances/bosses easier than others.Exactly $0.02 on that note:

-2/3 of Utgarde Keep is trivial for Affliction locks. Keleseth's frost tombs and adds die to Seed of Corruption, and Dalronn/Skarvold can be killed simultaneously without trying. Ingvar is mostly a tank gear check.
-Loken and the Drakkari Colossus are difficult without nature resist totems. I've read how both are considered easy, but I've had a hell of a time. I suspect the commenters are all running shamans.

Also, agreed on the VH learning curve. I stomp the trash, but it takes time to churn through them between boss wipes. Ugh!

HoS is way way overrated, i did it before 3.1 and the buff earth elementals gots.

HoS took me 10 tries and my tank had this gear: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Kazzak&n=Rubylight

If you run with 3 shamans or more just drop the earth elementals in the last phase and its far from impossible. Oculus is way harder since you have to rewrite your macros, took me 30-40 tries.. I was cheap and went without gear, took me 5 tries before i realised machines scale with gear. GG

BUT the hos,azol-nerub and old kingdom is still hard, oculus is on the same level but takes way longer since you have to rewrite your macros and adapt to a totaly new way of tank/heal/dps.

Any tips on last boss of gundrak for an all melee team? i have 3 dks and a feral druid and my healer buddy helps in that department

I've tried getting in and attacking but the ww just straight tears me apart... i avoid it by dpsing at ranged with the dks(all their frost attacks icy touch howling blast, death and decay and deathcoil) but i dont have near enough dmg to down him fast that way, then the impales straight wreck me with positioning :(

Personally, I handle the WW with the tank. I main with my tank so I just pull him away from the other melee about every 10-15 seconds and wait for him to Whirlwind. As soon as it's over, I punch my follow key and bring them back in. Takes a bit longer, but it's effective.

As far as the impales go, I have to "reset" everyone after every impale. It's a pain in the crack.

However, I think what Cyndaen wrote has merit, although I would suggest that on Rhino phase, you keep your melee backed into "Hachoo's corner" as demonstrated on his vid. Then have your tank with his back to that corner so on the knockback, he'll be right on top of the melee and they'll still be doing damage. Still have to probably manually reset any bots that get impaled. You'll have to run him back out in troll phase when he WW's though, although with proper gear and blood spec, you MIGHT be able to heal through this phase with your DK's.
