I need a little help getting started plz :)

Ok here is my story.My friend and i started the RAF program in WoW.i recently lost my job and have a ton of extra time so i figured i would try to dual box using our 2 accounts so i could farm instances and for mats etc.I have no extra cash to pay for Keyclone or anything of that nature.I do not want to enter the arena or make twinks or anything crazy i just want to find a setup where i can use his high lvl DK to run my lowbies through instances and use both of our high lvl DK's to farm higher lvl instances and maybe run 2 casters for giggles.I have no experience making elaborate macros or anything of that nature.I am simply trying to make the best out of having 2 accounts and tons of spare time.I dont want anything special.If i can get my slave toon to attack what im attacking and maybe slap a heal on me i will be thrilled lol.thanks to anyone that bothers to try and help me :D

If your info isn't on his account (meaning both account info are in your name) you can't multibox his account, if someone reports you (it will happen, a matter of time) both accounts will be banned.

Since your looking for a free solution, check out HotKeyNet. There are tons of posts in the software forum about it.

Him and i have played together 95% of the time and we normally have identical toons.Its just fun basically having double the firepower as a caster and double the burst damage from our rogues.Basically we look like a very good multiboxer setup as is lol.I'm not sure how blizzard handles such things but if the possibility to be insta banned was an easy thing to trigger then it would have already happened under unjust conditions. thanks for posting tho :)

Well if someone reports you for boting for ex. then the GM will check you out and will see that you are MB but the accounts are not in the same name. = Ban.......

Sure you might get away with it for some time but.
I think you should ask your friend also if he thinks its ok to lose his account as well?

He's being a prick because at least two times a day for the past year that I have been around, someone asks the same question. Then someone new comes along and doesn't search for the answer and asks again. It's stickied, it's wiki'd and it's all over the whole site.

Dozens of posts asking "Can I use my friend's/brother's/ex-spouse's/some-drunk-I-met-on-the-street-corner's/some-gold-farmer-who-leveled-a-toon-for-me's account and not be banned?" questions are clogging up the forums and there's no reason to be sugar-sweet to someone violating the TOS and casting a dim shadow upon community that has opened its doors to share knowlege, experiences and information in a cooperative manner.

Because those are the rules of the forum in which you're posting... don't post about breaking the TOS. I don't read any "being a prick" into that comment, you're the one breaking the forum rules and the EULA/TOS of the game and getting offended when we tell you so?

For further reference i will not be using my friends account,i will purchase another set of games.My god we use each others account to run through all kinds of stuff and have done so for a very long time.i merely wanted the toon i was running to be a bit more functional and the thought of the blizzard red tape had not crossed my mind.

They did make a free site... you're there right now. There are start up guides (called stickies.... read them). If you want more info, go to the other free site http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki.

The same questions over and over + Violations of TOS will cause a little attitude backlash. These are the two most irritating things a poster can do. Combining the two is just asking for a little flame. Then flying off the handle to boot...

Go back to WoW general. This community in general doesn't flame new people for very much, but you've managed to do it all. Next time make sure you talk about botting too, that will REALLY get this bbq going. As I said before, stop waiting for someone to answer your questions and read the wiki / search the forums and come back and ask a SPECIFIC question, you'll get a much better response than just "help me"
