View Full Version : Quick question on KeyClone setup for just ONE button

Hi, I'm considering buying KeyClone as I just started the RAF thing again to get a few more chars up to Level 60. At the moment, I run WoW twice on the same system. I'm levelling a Frost Mage (spamming Frostbolt) on my main window and an Elemental Shaman (spamming Lightning Bolt) on my second window.

On the Frost Mage, I have Frostbolt keybinded to button 2.

On the Elemental Shaman, I have a /follow <Mage name> macro on button 1, and an /assist <Mage name>, /cast Lightning Bolt macro on button 2. So far, I pull with the Mage, and then alt-tab so that both chars are spamming their respective button 2s.

However, I was wondering if KeyClone would simplify this for me, and allow me to just focus on the Mage window, so that when I'm spamming button 2, it is also pressing the same button 2 on the other window. I'm sure this is possible, but the main thing I wanted to make 100% sure is can I can set it for JUST button 2, and everything else is not duplicated?. I know it's stupid to just duplicate one key but it's all I need really and would definitely cut out all the alt-tabbing!

Would I just add 'key 2' to some sort of ALLOW list, or do I have to add every single key to a NOT ALLOW list with the exception of 'key 2'?

Regards

I don't need all that stuff like simultaneous movement of alts. All I just want is for KeyClone to duplicate 1-2 buttons for both windows. Is it possible to do this without having it duplicate every single key press?

I'm sorry, you've lost me there. And I have no idea what a Nexus is. I assume it's not a reference to the dungeon.

Anyways, if this is the kind of responses I can expect, then forget I even asked.

Yes, my understanding of Keyclone is that you would have to add all other keys to the do-not-pass list.

alternatively you could remove all the keybindings on the 2nd account except '2' so that everything is mouse click oriented

I thought there was a white-list feature?

Ill check when I get home. Didnt see anything about a white list on the website when i checked just then

EDIT:
I'm looking at the keyclone setup at the moment and i can't see anything like a whitelist. I would take a stab at 'No'.

Open Keyclone, click the "Set up" key. Find "do-not-pass" in the list on the left. Then go down to the bottem, there is a tiny window that says <click here and hit a key>...click there, hit the key you don't want duplicated and hit apply...you will have to do that for every key you do not want to duplicate.

If you go to "Setup"->"Do-not-Pass" there is a check box at the bottom that says "White-List".

i guess there was some confusion. sorry i didn't see this thread sooner and chime in.

yes, you can set keyclone to pass a limited set of keys. you have 2 options. the 'do-not-pass' list is a black list by default, or a list of keys not to pass.

if you want, you can flip it to a white-list... thus passing ONLY those keys that are in the list

of course, as always, if you're confused... just drop me a note (or call) and i'll gladly offer up whatever info i have for you. (sometimes you just can't shut me up... i love talking to multiboxers :D)

Oh, I missed that checkbox. Tucked down in the bottom corner there.
My bad :whistling: .
