Done with Arenas till 3.1

I suppose I had a bad night last night, and dissolved my team out of frustration. I'm enjoying PvE quite a bit right now raiding on 4, and perhaps I'll play a few games before the patch hits, but it's not worth banging my head against a wall trying to make something magical happen.
3.1 will be an amazing patch for us, it's probably best to just wait it out :)

i've disbanded my team a few days ago... at the end i was 1823 and back to 1700 in 1 night.
...told everyone I'm just releaxing bg's until 3.1 ... but the real reason is ~frustration ;(

I will be honest, I check this site everyday at work and I check your ratings everyday/along with any of the great new PvE movies (Hachoo's,Dks,fuzzy's etc.) I for one really appreciate the time/help/movies you guys provide. I would hope you and others dont feel like you have any expectations that anyone has to live up to.

Sorry to hear that, I'm still kicking around in arena but currently having a but of an issue finding another healer, my RL buddy who has done it since s3 quit wow. Anyways the um interview process has cost me nearly 200 rating over the last few weeks haha, most team's aren't so frustrating but the surv spec hunter's and their outragous LoS abuse is borderline infuriating and a little comical all at once. I'm more excited about hunter nerf's than I am shaman buffs at this point, for all my teams, quad box or not.

Mr I'm in the same BG as you playing horde but I can't seem to find a good BG to farm honor for. I'm pretty much not trying arena ATM because of my less then par res (100), but I am looking forward to 3.1 and the changes.

I think the focus on arenas wont be around forever at least not in the same way they are now. I think they are going to change the arenas to be tourney only or maybe half gear from them and half from rated BGs.


Arenas became the focal point of PvP because there
exists in the rating system an easier way to measure skill. On the
contrary, battlegrounds shifted from the focus and the means by which
the most competitive PvP rewards could be obtained because there's
almost no measurement of skill. Someone could AFK their way to great
gear just as easily as someone legitimately playing to win every match.



We don't like this though, as arenas really are meant to be an
E-sport side game, not the end all, be all of World of Warcraft PvP. We
understand it's a niche game that's not for everyone. What we want to
do is revamp the battleground system and create some better
functionality to measure skill so that players have access to more
comparable rewards to those issued via the arenas. We'd also like to
provide the means for player to level up via PvP should that be their
preference.

What teams were giving you the most difficulty ? And any tips to deal with them at all

My current goal, if we can say that is 1650 =).. i guess its prolly a little high fora 5v5 but thats my current goal.

As for arenas, im only getting started, after tasting the sweet victories last weekend : 32-11

This weekend i'll keep pushing with the same combo in hopes to climb even higher.

And any tips to deal with them at all There wasn't a specific team in particular, I guess I was just running out of patience and didn't feel like sitting around waiting for them to come. I probably should of stopped when I noticed I wasn't having a good day ;p

I am in the same boat ellay, I've been comin over to Arch and talkin with you occassionally out of pure frustration as well. I quit my 5v5 grind about 3 weeks ago and have been doing 2v2s individually with my shams in a Resto/DK(icy touch spec) and had great success, with all teams hitting 1700 the first night. This has allowed me to finish off my hateful set and enjoy my shamans again. 3.1 is going to be amazing and I absolutely cant wait. Welcome back NS+death days! We missed you!! I'm excited to compete for progress! Until then i'll just enjoy my AV and WG.

Hate to say I saw this happening months ago,I stopped doing Arena when I had the gear I wanted.
Even playing BG's is problematic at the moment,for me in both DK and Shaman teams.
Maybe its me but I still think Blizz went overboard with giving every class AoE and faceroll pvp.
Playing in PvP now is like playing a CS game with nade spam and RnG,pretty mindless.
Still hoping Blizz pull thier finger out of their arse and make some sense of this mess. :cursing:

Damaged was up'd non-linearly verse HP in an attempt to make "bad players" ( you know they guys they made naxx for ) better at pvp. It removes much of the stratagy and planning that was required to win against the best teams in s3 and s4. I've watched DK/Pal team's not even bother to interupt a healer outside of strangulate and win at 2200 ratings, its pretty stupid. 5fingers hit it on the head, pvp is more like a counter strike game, except that many of us are given pistol's to and no body armor while other class's are running around with awp's, full body armor, and 2 flashbangs. The steady removal of all difficult content is causing me to start looking for another game, I guess I just need an MMO to stop wanting 10 million sub's and aim more for like 2 million steady "hardcore" subs instead, when that game comes I'm done with WoW and its "hello kitty island adventure" crowd appeal.

El roxylol I always have just enough composure to smash my headset instead of my kb / mouse, much cheaper lol. Thank god too, cause I've replaced 4 headsets.
