View Full Version : Radeon hd 4850 x2 installation problems
I just built a new rig and attempted to install an hd 4850 x2. I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium SP 1 64 with a Core i7 920. The system recognizes the graphics card is installed, but disables the drivers at start up. I tried reinstalling the drivers with no luck. I also tried installing older versions of the drivers with no luck. If anyone using this graphics card has had similar install issues, how did you fix the problem? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If you did this, tried with Drivercleaner?
Yeah I did the usual. I did not try Drivercleaner yet. I will give that a shot. Thanks.

Thanks.Ofc, you'll need first to uninstall the ati drivers, reboot, use driver cleaner, reboot again and at this point, install again the catalysts. Also, make sure you have installed .NET Framework 2.0 (to say the least), or the big .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (370ish Mb update).

Make sure you are using the drivers provided with the video card. If you dont there could be problems.

Don't know if they changed it with the more recent batch of products (talking about Sapphire)
