I purchased a WOW SteelSeries Mouse last night and set it up. Very nice having 15 buttons to program. I got used to the 4 way rocker and the extra buttons pretty fast.
Then it frose up so I unplugged the mouse and plugged it back in and worked fine for a bout 10 mins. It then just froze up and the led light went off and that was it all done capoot.
So I am back to my logitec mouse which is ok just was looking for more programmable buttons.
Just wanted to let people know about it so they wouldnt imo waste $100 on the mouse.

Can't you return it or get it fixed under warranty?

So im guessing that you have never gotten to macro portions ?
Man oh man could vyndree tell you some stories...
When you take it back tommorow, dont get that mouse pick up a razer lachesis or similar you will end up much happier that you bought a better quality product that can actually do the things you want it to do.

Could ('http://dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=18594') I ('http://wemultibox.com/blogs/vyndree/steelseries-world-warcraft-mmo-mouse') indeed ('http://www.amazon.com/review/R2PKXZ0OWBZUDJ/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm').
(ooh, hey looks like Amazon yanked the mouse ('http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Special-World-Warcraft-Mouse/dp/B001H31B2A/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1237573469&sr=8-6') -- Amazon's not distributing it anymore? Looks like SteelSeries removed them as an authorized reseller on the WoW mouse page ('http://shop.steelseries.com/index.php/partners/world-of-warcraft-mmo-gaming-mouse.html').)

Check out the MX Revolution from Logitech if you decide to go with something different. It has 13 programmable options (including wheel directions). It's cordless but rechargeable on a stand - charging it every night does not seem to impact the battery life in any way. I wouldn't recommend it for FPS but for WoW it's great.

Curious, am I the only person who has had no trouble with the wow mouse? I've had mine since the end of January and it has been working great.
No physical problems with it whatsoever. I see these bad reviews going around, but I guess the only other thing I have it to compare to as far as mice go is my mx518.
Has anybody else had a good experience with it?

The way it creates and puts macros in is well pretty lame, as for how it holds up well you have to judge for yourself.

Anything involving something that needs to be typed like /accept is just typed at a rate of about 200 wpm. Sort of sad they advertised it as developed for warcraft, shot their reputation to the shitter.
I enjoyed your examples in the video, quite funny.

Yes and no.
Yes, in that it allows delaying/looping that (like the G15) is allowable to HAVE but no allowable to USE while you're playing WoW.
And no in that it can NOT bind key COMBINATIONS like "SHIFT+1" and "CTRL+5" or "ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+A".
So it's "the same" in terms of bannable features, and "less than" in terms of functional features, in comparison to the G15/Nostromo N52/Saitek gamepad/macro-capable device.
