Anyone have any success pushing your main's focus over to your alts either as their focus or their target? Basically, I feel like I create duplicate macros for the same function. Heal player1, healplayer2...yadda yadda yadda. What I want is to set focus on my main via a macro, then have an alt acquire my main's focus and then cast a spell on it. That wasy I can set focus easily and pass it onto my other characters.

You can use /cast [target=focustarget] spell. Have your slaves make the main as their focus. You can also add additional modifiers in the same macro

/cast [target=focustarget,harm] lightning bolt;[target=focustarget,help] lesser healing wave

Edit: Sorry should clarify a little further. If your main is targeting a mob it casts fireball. If he targets a friendly it casts heal.. you can play around with it too.

Yeah, but that is my focus's target. I want my alt's focus's focus or their target's focus. I can create some dummy macros to go to my alt screens and run their macros, but it would be much nice cleaner if I was on my main, chose to focus anyone in my party and then had an alt cast a spell on them.

I think what I'll do is just have all the chars set focus to the same mob or char and then cast from whomever.

I'd love to be able to do this

/target targetfocus
/cast lesser heal

I believe that should work. Also if you dont want to use up all your slaves focus.

/cast [target=pallytarget] spell

Works the same way as what you wrote just a different way to spell it out. I think they use something similar for FTL targeting.

You are targetting the target and I am targetting the focus. The target gets passed easily, but not the focus.

Sorry about the confusion there. I misunderstood your question then. So as an example, what you are trying to do is

Toon A

Toon B

Toon C

Toon A sets focus to Toon B (let's say). So now you want toon C to be able to cast a spell on Toon A's focus, no matter what he has targetted currently? Is that what you are trying to do?

In the long run, yes, but just in a modular approach, I'd like to have Toon B acquire Toon A's focus either as Toon B's target or better yet, Toon B's focus.

Kinda like, I see you looking at him even though you are attacking that guy over there, let me look at him too.
