Just would like to know which path you all took when you got to 60. Thx.

I did (do) both, but selectively.
Some of the quest rewards are just too good to pass up, but if you have a viable setup, the ability to solo farm the instances for kit and uninterrupted XP - especially at the weekend when it's busy - is something special :)

the best thing imo is doing instances and doing all the quests which are completed inside the instances, those give a huge amount off XP.
also some kill XX amount off YY mobs are very nice and easy todo, especially when multiboxing, but those area's are useally crowded during the weekends as said above.

I've been questing pretty much exclusively. Up to lvl 65 now and starting Nagrand. The loot upgrades from quests are just way too good to pass up.

I know Suvega is doing ONLY instances and NO quests after hellfire...
He did the hellfire quests to get gear -- apparently it's insanely hard to do without the gear you get from hellfire since it's such a big upgrade. Then instances from then on.
Basically he's trying to maximize rep while also leaving the quests for when he dings 70 and needs to farm the money for flying mounts.
Once you're 70, nobody's really going to mess with you and the quests are cake.

I've been ganked relentlessly by horde while grinding up my 4x shammy team in Azeroth.
Now that i'm 50+, some of the Horde would-be-gankers are backing off a bit.
I'm fully prepared to face the same thing, and or worse in outlands, so my brother and I are probably just going to do a ton of instance grinding. Between tons of XP, good drops to use and / or DE, it'll level up quick and make a good amount of cash for the flying mount gold sink @ 70.
Same here. Every 10-15 mins that I'm outside, I get ganked. I'm on a high population, original PVP WoW servers.
Just last night, I had to do one of the mage quests, got ganked 4 times in 45 mins.
I think they have a sense of accomplishment if they survive it or something...
Staying in instances as long as I can for my leveling... :)

The great thing about Magtheridon is that I just "SPAWN MORE OVERLORDS" whenever I start getting camped. Normally it turns into a Cross Server Event with fireworks and the whole Parade. Oath, Rep, Diego, Rex, doesn't matter whoever is on comes and cleans house.

Depends on PVP server. do all quests that do not give rep in Hellfire. Once you are done with them then get rep up by killing mobs out side instance. (lvl 58-59) If you are getting ganked lots go back to Scholo runs to get exp and rep at same time until 60-62. DM is also good.
My team was 4 locks and 1 shadow priest.
They are now 70 and never get ganked unless im AFK
once you are friendly when go to ramps and run until honored. then go back to get all rep quests.
Make sure you do daily pvp quests for Hellfire. even if getting ganked , rep and exp are toooo good at lvl 58-67.
Good luck

Server type certainly makes a huge difference for this question. If I were on a pvp server, I'd probably instance as much as I could until 70.

Thx for the advice. I've decided to sit my 60 team until they get max rested xp, and level the shamans in the meanwhile.

I really cant see why you think ganking is such a problem. I've soon leveled my second team to 70 without much problems. And this is on a full pvp server.
Sure, when you're lower level there might be some random lvl 70 that sweeps down your party, but there are really not many of those haning around in azeroth. When you get to outlands, and get those first quests done, you should have no problem killing a lone lvl 70.(if you're 5-boxing that is)
Ofcoarse sometimes there also will be party's looking for you, but if those camp I usually just go afk and eat dinner or do something else for a while. Quite good knowing that while 4-5 people think they're wasting your time, you are acctually wasting theirs :P

That's why I have 2 sets of multi-box teams.
If I'm camped I switch to my shamans and level them and vice-versa. They lose. I win :)

Well, I play on Blackrock. I've seen gankers in every lowbie Alliance town/zone looking for action. This server is full 24/7, so when Americans are tired of ganking and go to bed, the Australians log in and have their turn.

I think your PVP server might be full... but it's not full of bored lvl 70's running around like my server. We don't have random people running around... we have guilds full of people with the sole purpose of ganking lowbies. :)

That's VERY good to know. Questing in Hellfire for the gear before heading into the instance.
How far along is he now on running Instances alone?

At 58 do the hellfire quests that give you a select few blue item upgrades, this will kick you into gear level needed for a good chunk of Ramparts/Blood Furnace (Imo Furnace is a hell of a lot easier then Ramparts if you're 60).
Also with the reduced XP curve still in effect doing the main HP quests should get you to 60 or close to it.
After that, instances mainly, find the quests that give upgrades for whatever class set you're multi-boxing and make sure you do those.

No quests are needed for upgrades. I've been fine instancing all the way to 70.

Did Ramparts last night. The experience was meh, probably because it's a short instance. I'll try Furnace tonight, hope that goes better:)
