I dual boxed a pally and mage from 1-60 using RAF and have got hooked, although I haven't enough stored brownie points with the wife to expand the team I have decided to keep the paring together for the road to 80 (most xp from quests so i doubt i am gimping myself from the grp xp loss)....or maybe get the pally to 70 and then pair it with my shadow priest who has been parked so far.

Anyone run a pally and priest, what is the synergy like... both dps focussed or have the pally as prot.

The reason i like my pally mage paring is the mobs go down vv quick, will i be gimping myself regarding xp per hour with a decreased killing power of a shadow priest vice mage?

Thought appreciated.

Cheers.

I havnt paired a Paladin/Shadow Priest combo, but I am very familiar with both classes. Im sure Ill be hollered at for this, but if I were you Id roll the Priest in a Smite spec with the Paladin rather than Shadow. As Im sure you remember the finesse it took to level as a SP, between dotting and flaying, you'd probably be better off just loading up with a Holy Fire and spamming smite until dead.

I did Pally/Priest/Priest and I would recommend Ret/Shadow. Most of the most, or groups of mobs, you encounter will be non-elite. You'll plenty of threat from DPS to soak damage on your pally, you'll get health and mana from VE and VT and will probably never have to cast a healing spell, save for a out of combat renew. Any you won't have to stop to drink/eat.
