[WoW] Pally and some hunters, err I mean shammies!

My favorite class has always been a hunter. Started wow with a rogue, but one day changed server with some other guys at the time and started from scratch with a hunter.

Now multiboxing is fun, but adding classes you really like is just way more fun :). Never really see people doing hunters in a group, and well at first I didnt want to do it myself. But I must admit, still low level though, its real fun!

Here I am just taking a lot of mobs with my trusty consecrating pally and misusing a lot of multishots. The reason im posting this movie is just to get people enthousiastic with using hunters, because its real great fun!

Great mod, saves me from watching the smallish bar buttons :). My ui is bad in this exampe, need to rearrange it. In fact I due constantly, thats why it looks like a construction yard ;)

Hunter question.

I only played a hunter up to about 20ish but don't hunters require a lot of maintenance? I mean they have to go and trap pets and train pet abilities and feed the things.

Just from a multi-box perspective it seems like each hunter will need quite a bit of individual attention. Warlock pets are very much low maintenance, you just need to do the pet quests.

Thinus there are various pet auto feeder mods out there that would help a bit, probably a good idea to make the pet icon on minion screens quite big so you can see when they get unhappy. Thats the only thing to worry about compared to lock pets imo.

EDIT: You'd also have to manage turning growl on and off, and managing AoE aggro gen stuff on pets (like screech, gorilla one), but that's similar to turning on/off torment on VWs.

This combo will be pretty cool at 70 imo, given how easy the BM hunter dps macro is to spam for v good steady DPS.

The Beast Within x 3 O.O It's like Arcane Power only it lasts longer and gives you total immunity against... well, anything but damage, really.

Nice part is, I already have a decently geared hunter at level 70, if I want to toy (though i see this group as minimal pvp viable, due to still existing deadzone) I could also ass that one instead of the pally and pewpew with 4 red cats :).

And the petfeeding is already down to 1 macro, I have set the type of food, but if you want to, you can easily reserve a slot bag (you can macro the x and y coords of a bag).

Also, im not using growl atm, perhaps wiser to do so, to give my pally a little more dmgfree tanking, but ill see that in the future, for now ill let the pally tank and get the hang of it ;).

I tried a 4xhunter team a loooong time ago, but gave up at about level 11. I rolled them all as Night Elves, despite the superior Draenai racials, because I liked the idea of 4 hidden hunters + 4 hidden pets surprising people at a flag in AB and other places ;)

I gave up not because they were unviable (although the much larger deadzone back then was painful), but because of the general reaction I got from people I met.

With my other teams, I get a mixed reaction, but mostly positive. With this team all I got was negativity and harassment. Now, I'm no shrinking violet and have reasonably thick skin, but the reaction I received in my first few days' of play (universal revilement) was enough to make me stop!

Good luck though - I do have a single hunter in one of my teams (level 62 at the moment) and she definitely earns her keep!

Bit quiet here since i changed from my current group to a pally and 4 shammies :). Think that in the end run the group its self would run a lot better.
