Hey guys, I have been having some trouble as of late and I have really racked my brain to no avail, hopefully someone can shed some light on the subject.

Essentially, I have a 5-shaman team and I am using bartender4. I am trying to copy my main shaman's settings to the other 4 characters. I tried using the built in save/load profile feature but this only seems to copy the "layout" aka x,y positions of the bars on the screen. The buttons themselves don't copy, i.e. I have Lightning Bolt in slot 1 on bar 1 on my main, but it doesn't appear there on the other toons.

Ok, no big deal (or so I thought), my next step was to simply go into my wow WTF directory and copy the saved variables from the main to the other toons, yep that didn't work either.

After a bit (a lot) of digging on the web and through the forums I discovered symbolic linking. I figured I couldn't lose anything by trying so I symlinked my 4 accounts to my main account in the "D:\Wow\WTF\Account" folder. I noticed that the toon names in the D:\Wow\WTF\Account\AccountName\Server folder of the 4 clones obviously didn't match the main toon that I was symlinked to, so I copied the main toon name's folder 4 times and renamed it to each of the "copied" toons names. In short, each character now has the same files within their D:\Wow\WTF\Account\AccountName\ServerName\ToonName folder.

Unfortunately, this didn't work either. Am I missing something else? Is it in the addons folder itself where the "button locations" so to speak, are stored?

I have been messing with this for a couple of hours now and just can't seem to find a solution, hopefully I am missing something that is staring me in the face and one of you knows the answer. :P Any help is appreciated, thanks folks.

*could be mistaken HUGELY!

No I believe you are right there. Seems to me that actual spell positions are stored server wise. At least when I switch to a different installation of WoW all of my spells are already placed in the actionbars while I haven't even configured it for example.

Haha well that explains it. I guess I'll just do it manually then. Thanks guys :)
