I am having an issue with Keyclone. First off when I downloaded the program on both of my computers (I plan to dual box not dual log) I started it up on the first and payed my $10 through paypal and it was instantly unlocked... I went to do the same on the other computer and was surprised there was no need to, it let me in the program instantly. I still plan on donating an extra $10 because thats what right... but seemed odd.
I have had no luck getting the two copies of KC to hook up. I have tried disabling the firewall in vista even and nothing. I hit the connect button and absolutely nothing happens. I am sure its something easy I am missing but seeing as I am using this program for keybroadcasting in EQ2 a lot of the walkthroughs I have found are not of real use.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

check to make sure the ip address and port you are connecting to are the ones you expect.
also, if you are using any software firewalls that you allow keyclone out/in.
if you are using vista... make sure you are running in administrator mode

I typed in exactly what is in the blue bar at the top of the client.
No software firewalls at all... just use the standard windows one.
Running in admin as well.

I just noticed I can't connect using many other programs as well... Could my issue be that one computer is using Vista and the other XP? I noticed with my network in general that my vista computer can see and access my xp computer while my xp computer can only see (not access) my vista computer through the network area....
just use the standard windows one.
Is that the issue?

make sure that you run keyclone as adminstrator.

Doesn't Vista have a different domain/workgroup name by default than Windows?
Perhaps the issue lies in the vaguely named "File and Printer Sharing" setting in XP.
Make sure your IP addresses also correspond. The first three octets should match, ideally. I.E.: you want 192.168.1.XXX for your addresses.
Beyond that, I have no idea, but since your first post indicates you did not activate KC, I'd try activating it on your Vista machine with a new license and see if it works then.

Well if windows firewall blocks keyclone becoming a server, it clearly will have problems connecting to the client.

Were both machines XP at one point and you ran a vista upgrade? If so were they both created from the same image through some form of software image system like Norton Ghost?

another trick to connect the 2 clients would be called STUN (ning). basically, try to connect each keyclone to the other. firewalls by default allow data out, not in. as such, on inbound connection attempt... but... if you hit connect from both, the firewall that would normally block incoming traffic will allow it through... because it thinks the incoming traffic is the answer to your outgoing connection request.
basically... hit connect on both keyclones within a second of each other and see if that works. if it does, you have a firewall issue.
also, just for grins... run start/run/cmd.exe and try to do a ping to the other machine.
ie: (assuming the other machines ip address is 192.168.0.2)
ping 192.168.0.2
if that doesn't work... it's a network issue
