This is official notice that I am coining the term "Gilligan's Island Quests" in reference to the daily quests, that, much like the plot of Gilligan's Island, are different every day, but seem to start repeating themselves after you do them a few times. Much like how the shipwrecked crew and castaways never get off the island, all those jeweled trinkets you keep hunting for all over Northrend to ship to the undermine will never get there and the shipment will inevitably always be one trinket short.

fishing dailies, cooking dailies, heroic dailies....
the only different between those and the "normal" dailies is that you get to choose your normal dailies.

Much like how the shipwrecked crew and castaways never get off the island,Well - they actually did get off the island once - only to make the same mistakes and end right back up on the same island. lolI do believe that was a made for TV movie, and thus not part of the official Gilligan lore.
When I first heard the term, I thought it would be all those quests that make you get really weird ingredients to make some gnomish contraption. "If you bring me 30 bat ears, 15 murloc spit, and 3 hardened yeti droppings, I'll craft a [Helm of Uselessness]." Think the professor and his coconut powered nuclear submarine made from some palm fronds and a couple pieces of bamboo.

So it's apocryphal in the canon of Gilligan's Island?

So it's apocryphal in the canon of Gilligan's Island?Umm... *scurries off to google and finds Apocrypha ('http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocrypha')*
Yes, yes it is. Everything after Gilligan and the Goddess ('http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Gilligan%27s_Island_episodes#Third_Season' ) is blaspheme! Oddly enough there are three movies, two of which involve them being rescued only to return. The third involves the Harlem Globetrotters. The first movie ('http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rescue_from_Gilligan%27s_Island') is the one referenced.
I do love me some new words. Sounds like it would be a good arena team name too ;)
