tournoment vs. real pvp

Hey, I have a pretty old computer but it has some upgrades. I am able to run smoothly in all instances and a little bumpy in cities. I am wondering how bad pvp is going to be. So, I signed up for the arena tournoment x4, to see if the arenas would be laggy, and they are not at all. I am at 1640 atm woot!. But I am wondering how this compares to arenas in the real servers, and BG's thanks!.

Perhaps the latency differs on live because there's more server is the battlegroup but I don't really know. :P
