Hey guys,

I recently had some hardware problems, and had my old 8800gtx die on me. I replaced it with a 9800 GTX+, but now I'm getting graphical glitching at the logon screen as soon as they're both open. My card isn't going above 60 degrees, in fact, nothing in my case is getting any hotter than when I run crysis.

My rig is:
9800gtx+ 512Mb
Intel e6750
4gb RAM
win XP 32bit (I know, I'm losing half a gig, but reinstalling is a hasstle atm)

The moment I close either window (both running at 800x600 with minimum settings) the glitches stop in the other.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

I can only suggest wiping the drivers and going again. Remove the 9800 in system/devices then I would use Driver Cleaner in safe mode to wipe all the Nvidia video drivers. When you reboot, do a normal install the driver version of your choice and cross your fingers.

I'll try that tonight, thanks for the advice. Fingers are firmly crossed!

Beyond that suggestion I am useless. I will have to defer other suggestions to the more experienced among us. :)

Good luck.

Delete your config.wtf file and let the game rebuild it.
