Was thinking i want to make my mage a macro that will port anywhere using modifiers instead of pulling each one out and on action bar or going into book. Is there a way u can do this and on each modifier saying something like Enjoy your trip to "city" and ty. Anyone with ideas or a macro with this would be great ty.

/cast [nomod]Ironforge;[mod:alt]Stormwind;[mod:shift]Darnassus;[mod:ctrl]Exodar;[mod:alt,mod:shift]Dalaran

Try that.

You may have to fiddle with it.

#show
/cast [nomod] Portal: Dalaran; [mod:ctrl] Portal: Stormwind; [mod:shift] Portal: Ironforge; [mod:alt] Portal: Darnassus

Still messing with the /s stuff. :>

have portals on the side ui bar. I just click on the one I want to open. No reason to make a fancy macro unless you have no room on you r ui.

Mages are one of the classes that easily runs out of button space, especially when using the default UI (no mods). I have a teleport and portal (shift modifier for portal) for each destination on the secondary attack bar so that they only consume 6 buttons. I'm already looking at using a similar macro to those above to condense down to just 2 buttons, potentially.

Although my mage is always fully macro'd and rarely uses more than a 5-6 buttons while multiboxing, I also use her as my lead DPS (main window) when I'm filling in 2-3 group DPS slots when teamed with my guild so I like having all the other spells readily available. This means that I need fancy macros to fit everything. :)
