I was going through my hard drive today, watching all the multiboxing videos I had including the Aelli video that inspired many of you reading this as well as myself. I feel like I am playing the game still hoping and expecting it to go back to the way it was for us. It's not. I know where the game is going and I am excited to see the people who have achieved such good ratings and success but I am not one of them.

Not sure if these posts are allowed, if they aren't then I will fall silently into the db.com ether from where I came.

I have decided to leave WoW. That's an easy decision. What was not was leaving the multiboxing community, I have read so many stories of triumph, defeat, sadness, maturity and silliness, I will miss them all. I feel like I have connected with Kin here, and a part of me will always remember these forums and you guys with fond remembrance. My decision to leave is mostly based on the current state of the game and its mechanics, I believe they have so neutralized the game in PvE and PvP that everything is Grey and nothing shines. Nerf this so people cant do that, nerf this so people cant make use of that, put this on a and take this from b. I feel like they are moving to a utopian state of the game where every class is good at everything and there is no place for people who want to be different. No point stacking shamans in any raid or pvp. I feel like they have taken their concept of "easy to manage and setup raids" and really wrecked what was for many of us, a great challenge and exciting adventure. I really feel like I am signing on to a job instead of a game. I feel bad when i go play DoD because I know I can make some headway on my pvp gear, or my next set of alts if I play WoW instead. I feel like a litter of puppies (12 lvl 80's) is in constant need of my attention. Time to give them up for adoption (figuratively speaking, i mean it sounds better than I'm just going to stop paying for them and let them die :P)

To Aelli, we have spoken several times, though I'm sure you don't remember given you are most likely encumbered with emails and PM's in game from a variety of viewpoints. You are a really good guy who has put so much into this community sometimes we forget how much you have supported us with your humor, steadiness and divine skill. I will forever be on the lookout for new video's you may put out, as I am sure the rest of the community will demand it.

To gravity, if you still search these forums. Love you buddy, you are fantastic to BG with and I will always remember our charades in KZ and AV fondly as well =)

To Fur, you rock man, keep up the forum policing and don't let these whipper-snappers tell you anything! =)

To Vynn who has defended our small community from infant-size to what it is today, you are an inspiration, I can honestly say reading your posts in gen wow (as rarely as I read them) are always concise, witty and on the right side. For holding your temper and being level regardless of adversary, we salute you.

Goodbye to this great community, you ahve been resiliant in the face of immeasurable hate and confusion, of constant bombardment and ridicule. I would never quit for these reasons.

I am leaving you to spend more time with my reason, her name is J'Lean. =)

If it gets tedious, boring, or "hopeless", its always a good idea to take a break. I actually ended up taking about a 3 week break from multiboxing and then felt like I wanted to do some more PvE so now I'm back making new movies. I'm sure I'll get bored again sometime soon - when that happens I will cancel x5 until I feel like playing again :) Hopefully you'll be back!

I dont know you but take it easy =)

dual-boxing.com is not a WoW site, its a boxing community, so if you decide to play something else or just want to hang out on a forum somewhere drop us a line sometime.

I feel your pain.
I know my problems are not with any content prior to WoLK. I just had a blast running some DK's through Nagrand. I did EVERY quest there.
There is only one collection quest with less than a 100% drop rate and only 1 quest where you throw a rock at something requiring you to look in your bag.
I have a feeling that I won't want to continue playing them when I get them to 70 because WoLK questing just sux.

I know exactly what you mean about the uni-class. many of the quests in WoLK are uni-class quests. any quest where you mount something is completely unrelated to what your character is.
in theory, a character with less hit points should do more damange and a character with more hit points should do less damange.
I remember hating to level a pally (solo) because it was torture to kill something, now a pally is not any differernt to level than anything else in the game.
we just did Naxx10 with the oddest group and did just fine.

I hate nerfs and they are constantly modifiing stuff and they aren't just small changes either.
I've been noticing that they nerfed the crap out of shaman to force us to play other characters only to retore shaman to the grandure a few months later.

Maybe I'm just burnt out too.

Or just be like Xzin and hang out every now and then. Don't need to actively multibox in order to participate. :)

I wish you the best. As someone who has taken so many breaks that I wonder if I've spent more time playing or not playing, I understand the need to step back. Don't think of yourself as no longer being a multiboxer, you're just taking some time to single box life. Just be sure to take screenshots and movies so the rest of us can see what it's like ;)

Good luck and take care.

I just looked up on the armory, had no idea you were on my server! AND you have a scarab lord in your guild, Strongbad. I was wikipeding old world achievements and came accross him and was like wow, that guy is a serious wow player!

Anyway, again, have fun in whatever you do.
