Just another lame update, but this morning before work I cleared heroic violet hold with my 4 DK 1 resto druid group. I got the water boss for the first boss (wow this guy is easy, when he punts you just hit a switch to kill all the adds) and then I got the floating eye boss. He was a little more difficult, but once I got a healing rotation down I could have gone on forever. Cyanigosa was a different beast though, I had all 4 DKs pull out the Army of Undead and they probably took 50k life off her and then I slowly wittled her down. I was constantly trying to run the druid out of the frost AE without letting my team die. It was a losing battle and finally with 20k health left she killed my last guy, however ghoul form let me finish her off. So it was a total wipe but she was dead! Im thinking with a little more spell power my druid can just stand in the AE and heal through it.
Oh and during this whole run one of my dps had just got Titansteel Destroyer and his 2h mace skill was 1, so I think I did pretty good being handicapped like that.

Tried again today and got the voidwalker boss. He sucks bigtime and wiped my group before I got him to 50%. Not sure what to do on him.

Tried again today and got the voidwalker boss. He sucks bigtime and wiped my group before I got him to 50%. Not sure what to do on him. From what I've read you just have to DPS him super fast and ignore his invisible adds. I haven't gotten him yet but shamans definitely have some tricks to make it easier (4x healing stream totems, grounding totems, etc).

Yep, the void guy is simple with the burn strategy if you have some passive group wide healing and can put out enough burst DPS to down him before the number of adds overwhelms you.
It would also be pretty straightforward with lower DPS, I think, if you had caster DPS and a custom macro to target the boss, and then any phase mobs, before your nuke spell. That would caused the phased DPS member to automatically burn the adds when possible. With melee, I don't see that you have this option.

Well the problem with the boss is he puts up a debuff that I am unable to purge and it makes it stacks. Once you reach a certain stack, you are unable to heal the person. So unless you can burn through and receive (at some point) no heals, Im not sure a burn will work. I was also thinking maybe I could get one of my dps to hit a switch and kill the adds, but that doesnt take care of the problem of being unhealable. The boss doesnt hit very hard, but no heals is no heals and eventually your tank is gonna die.

without any sort of purge/dispell it will be very hard - the mechanic is that the boss puts a buff up on himself, and then it spreads to your party as you hit him and stacks higher and higher - I believe the buff heals HIM and reduces healing done on YOU.
If you don't have any purger then you are going to have to kill the adds imo, don't think you'll be able to burn. Only one person at a time can see the adds so it is going to be rough.

lol so basically impossible, haha. That's ok I have a 1 in six chance of not getting him each time, so I will just try my hardest if he spawns and quit if he wipes me.

Actually, when I got him last time I was playing around with my DPS macros and had taken purge out, and I don't have purge keybound to anything by itself (lame, I know). I just jumped when he dark shrouded to stop attacking him - it only lasts a couple of seconds- then continued when the buff faded. So, if you have enough group dps and background healing, you can still zerg him without messing the adds. For reference, I'm doing about 14K group DPS on boss fights currently, and getting around 400 HPS per toon from totems. Think I usually drop one chain heal near the end when the adds stack up as well with this.

ya this will be harder with melee as they will be swinging away (jump wont stop the attack). Best I can do is /follow and hope they move out of range quickly (ok ya right).

/stopattack should work though.

Ok I found a way to kill this guy. I put /castsequence Icebound Fortitude, Anti-magic Shell on all my guys and then I used Army of the Dead before he came out of his prison. Once I engaged him I waited for the spawns to happen, while dpsing boss, once there were two adds up I hit IBF. When that wore off I hit again for the AMS. Of course my druid died, but my guys needed no heals and we downed the boss with no problem. I even was able to kill cyanigosa after wasting my Army of the Undead on second boss. She actually isnt that bad once you figure out how to position, etc.
