Multi-boxing discussion with a French GM

Greetings,

Just want to share a GM conversation with a french GM (note : Blizzard EU headquarters are based in France so those guys are pretty much closed to EU management).

1. As long as you don't use a third party software to control your 5 boxes, it's ok SO FAR...

2. We will NOT mention in your GM profile that you are Multi-boxing, that may be the case in US but not in Europe.
BUT we don't do that over here.

3. The decision will be based on other player's feedback, that's what matters.

Note : the GM knew very well what "multi-boxing" meant.
Didn't take him more than 10 sec to say so.
Not exactly a "Please hold on so I can verify" type of answer.
Immediate answer.

Reinforcement is always good. Unfortunately, I don't play on the EU realms, but that's still good to know.

i would imagine it would be the type of complaints. complaints like 'i saw a multi-boxer and he should be banned' would not be valid. complaints like 'he camped my body for days' from 30 people would paint you as a griefer... and THAT they would probably have a problem with

That's not what it says, but its pretty much what its implying.

Thats not what it implies at all.

What it implies is that if you're a complete jackass you can be banned, but if you aren't an idiot you'll probably never have a problem.

Oh and here's a tip, if asked how you multibox simply state you use a multiplexer to send your keystrokes from one keyboard to all your accounts. Software or hardware doesn't really matter and if they ask what that is you can explain it's like a switchbox but instead of sending keystrokes to 1 program it sends them to as many as you ask it to... again, ambigious statement.

I'd rather say "I'm using macroes on the rest of my accounts", just so you don't even remotely imply that you MAY be using 3rd party software of any form. You never know how they might take it when they hear you're using a program to broadcast your keystrokes.

Anyways, been talking to five GMs during the past week and a half and all of 'em seemed very ok with it (though I don't play on french servers : P)
