Tells = Heals?

I've noticed in the twobox toolkit you can set a toon to send a message to your main when their health drops below a certain percent. and that you can also just say /followme to your entire party if they are all running the toolkit to start the follow commands

So unless /cast and /follow run under differnt rules, wouldn't it be possible to execute a healing /cast macro if you recieved a tell?

I remember when I used to raid pre-bc you could send a tell to a pally for the specific buff you wanted, but I know a lot of chages happened after bc

I know this is very automated and that's why I can't see it working, but can someone tell me if it's possible

WhisperCast used to offer this functionality. You'd whisper the person with a buff name and they would receive your request in a queue. They then clicked the WC window (or pressed its keybinding) and it would cast the buffs FIFO fashion.

I don't know if heals work the same way or if the AddOn is still valid post-BC.
