I'm sure some people have been doing something similar for a while - but I couldn't find this off hand. Here's how I'm planning on leveling my toons. I'm not really sure is this is faster than just leveling a group to 60 and gifting some others - but it seems like it should be because you're only doing 1/2 the leveling from 20-60 where things start to slow down. I originally posted this on my guilds webpage - but seems like this would be a better place for it.

Well, I have half-way figured a way to boost youself as you level. When you grant a level any experierence that you had stays. So say that you're leveling 2 toons together and they're both at 20 with 9 1/2 bars of exp filled up. Then you turn in a quest on toon A and that makes you ding 21. You can then use toon A to grant a level to toon B to get to 21 - and he still has 9 1/2 bars of exp filled. So toon B turns in the quest, and dings to 22. You can then use B to grant level 22 to A.

This basically means that you can cut 20 levels off your grind to 60. The first bunch of levels come pretty quick so level to 20 without gifting any levels. With the refer a fiend thing you gain 300% exp all the time so the grind does go pretty quick.

Toon A Toon B Gift Levels saved Next Action

1-21 1-20.9 10/10 Grind A to 21 and B to 20.9

21 20.9 10.5/10 Grant level to B

21 21.9 9.5/10 Level B to 22

21 22 9.5/10.5 Grant level to A

22 22 9.5/9.5 Level A to 23 and B to 22.9

23 22.9 10/9.5 Grant level to B

23 23.9 9/9.5 Level B to 24

23 24 9/10 Grant level to A

24 24 9/9 Level A to 25 and B to 24.9

25 24.9 9.5/9 Grant level to B

25 25.9 8.5/9 Level B to 26

25 26 8.5/9.5 Grant level to A

26 26 8.5/8.5 Level A to 27 and B to 26.9

27 26.9 9/8.5 Grant level to B

27 27.9 8/8.5 Level B to 28

27 28 8/9 Grant level to A

28 28 8/8 Level A to 29 and B to 28.9

29 28.9 8.5/8 Grant level to B

29 29.9 7.5/8 Level B to 30

29 30 7.5/8.5 Grant level to A

30 30 7.5/7.5 Continue....

From here you can see the pattern. So at level 20 you have 10 gift levels saved up. From 20 -30 you only actually grind 5 levels worth of exp (earning 2.5 more gift levels) and you gift each other 5 levels. So at 30 you have 7.5 gift levels saved. Then you repeat so that from 30-40 you only gind 5 levels again (earning 2.5 more gift levels) and you gift 5 more again. At 40 you should have 5 gift levels saved. At 50 you'll have 2.5 levels saved and you'll use them all up when you ding 60. This saves you 1/2 the grinding from 20-60 and of course the grinding you do is at 300% exp rate. That should make the overall progress 5 times faster than the traditional grind to 60.

If you are grinding 3 or more toons it's a similar process, but you end up doing something like A grants to B. B grants to C and C grants to A. This same method works for any number of toons so long as they are all getting the "refer a friend" (RAF) gift levels.

Have you tried this out yet? From what I understand, you can't gift "gifted" levels, but I might be wrong :)

I've run a trial with some 10-day trial accounts I only ran em up to 15 or so, but it seemed to be working fine. I was only doing that with 3 accounts and I want to try 4 so I'm retesting now.

But you aren't ever gifting gifted levels. i.e. if you ran 2 toons up to 60, you could then gift a 3rd toon to 60 (30 gifts from each account) but that toon would not be able to gift any levels to a 4th toon - because he hasn't earned any levels.

You only gift 1 level for every 2 that you grind yourself.

Toon A and B can't gift levels to each other. The "friend" account can only grant levels to the "veteran" account, not the other way.

Also as a friendly note, Use up all of your RAF grant a levels before it gets close to 90 days. I had an issue where the server was down the night before, the actual flip occurs at 90 days GMT, it is hard to tell exactly when it's going to lock you out, and the GMs won't help you. So grant the levels at like 80 days or earlier.

I gifted levels that were gifted with 3 accounts (A refers B refers C).

Accounts B+C play. C gifts 2 levels to B and then B can gift 1 level to A (plus usual gifts).

As for gifting, it's good to plan out, but I don't gift until the end. For instance, I'll have a level 31 get 28 levels gifted and then when he's 59.9 he gets last level gifted.

Probably me, but I think everything else is just overcomplicating a simple issue, but I just play with 3 accounts.

I have been able to gift gifted levels for most of my toons. It does indeed count as an earned level.

Let's say you level 5 toons to level 30......

Then level another set up to 30..........

You then have 10 level 30's.

Take the first in the chain from the first group, and the second from the chain in the second group. Level those toons up to 60.

By leveling 10 toons to 30, then 2 toons up to 60, you get 9 60's out of the effort if the accounts are linked right.

All I just hit 59 with my team (of 3; main + 2 RAFs). I have 2 chars that I'd like to lvl to 60 (35 shammy and 40 rogue). I saw posts indicating that folks have gotten to 61/62 using the gifting. How is this possible?

Otherwise, what is the most efficient way to gift my levels?

Thx!
