Good day,

I am interested in learning to Multi Box, having taken a break from WoW for a while (and not having had much luck originally). I have read a number of FAQ's (rtfm ;) ) and the wiki.

Specifically, at http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/RAF#One_existing_account.2C_4_referrals I see good varying strategies for gaining various benefits from the RAF system.

My situation, however, is that I have two inactive accounts. The mounts are not of primary importance to me, but should I figure out how to box better, I'd like to get a number of teams built up (why not go whole hog, eh?) within the 90 day window.

I am still studying things, so as to make the best use of time once the 90 day "clock" starts, but how to link 3 new accounts in relation to the 2 originals would help in my calculations. Should it matter, both originals have level 70's available on them.

Thanks for your kind pointers

Until they "fix" the level issue, my suggestion is this (based on your desire to get a number of teams during the RAF time, and not caring about which of the two current accounts get the zehvra mounts):

Use one of your two existing accounts and refer ALL THREE from that one. Use the other of the existing accounts to boost 4 (all linked via RAF) for max XP in the shortest time. I just ran a group of 4 shaman to 60 in just under 18 hours /played, then used the "Grant A Level" to make a shiny new level 60 Paladin.

Account A: Booster

Account B: "Veteran" Account

Account C: Linked via RAF to Account B

Account D: Linked via RAF to Account B

Account E: LInked via RAF to Account B

You'll have a crap load of teams before the 90 days expires, I assure you.

I appreciate the detailed reply, BigSmitty. Sounds reasonable, and hopefully others will benefit from this as well. Thanks!

No problem. That's how I am set up for my RAF. 2 groups to 60, 1 at 30 (Horde) and another 2 groups close to 20 (started this evening on them...). RAF expires end of April for me.

Understood. I plan to try to sort out Keyclone, and macros, etc. before I start, if possible, using BoosterA and VeteranB to at least get some of the basics hashed out.

I am seriously considering an i7 920 plunge (with all that entails) rather than splitting my 5 between a dual core 3.2 and an older Qx9650. To start with, I plan to keep it simple, something Tanky-enough(perhaps a new DK, in unholy) and 4 elemental shamans.

For completeness, going to try to allow for skinning, herb/mine, and DE within any given group, and eventually get at least one of [most classes] to level, for utility (summons, ports, lock picking, etc.). I made a "personal guild bank" back in the day, I'm sure it will come in pretty handy.

I sense an addiction, about to return full force . . .

I seriously think you read my mind. If you look at my sig, that's my guild full of my toons, except I use an 80 feral druid or 74 DK tank. I boosted a mage (food/water/portals), rogue (lockpicking) and paladin (for the shaman group). One tailor and one enchanter. Rest are still TBD but will probably include a couple of skinners and flower pickers (74 is a 380ish herbalist/420 inscriptionist). Sounds like you have everything planned out from the start. Should be fun to watch your progress.

Thanks, I tend to be the planning sort, heh. There seem to be some very knowledgeable people here, and I'm still soaking up parts of many posts, trying to put it all together. ;)
