Well! My parts came in yesterday for my new build!

I was off to build myself a nice powerful gaming rig.. oh wait.. I've never done it before.

It proved to be a heck of a day, but I got it.

Here are some photo shots.

-When the PC parts first came in, had to show them off!

In the process of building it! (my brother took the photo, keep in mind he had to work 8 hours that day, and he helped me after.. thats how long it took)

This was the first "test" or "moment of truth", testing for first time. It failed of course.. took me a bit, but found out I had forgotten to plug in 8 pin power connector.

And! FINALLY! 12 hours after I had taken a picture of my parts! :cursing:

Now for the installation! Let it begin! ( Everything is stupid fast with VelociRaptors Raid 0 )
-Oh and its a rookie setup, just for installation purposes. :P

Grats on the arrival, and on your first build! Man its been a while since I built my first PC. I was previously a Mac user (still have one I think) It gets easier. For me, I have big hands and getting those jmpers for the front lights and buttons is the hardest part. One brand I used came with a removable "master" jumper, made a world of difference!

Nice rig,

Gimme. I want another.

How's your sound card? I myself just ordered an ASUS XONAR ESSENCE STX...I've only heard good things about it.

I had it laying on its side, because I was diagnosing what went wrong, but it was fixed :-)

Gratz on your new rig.

Reminds me that the first thing I have to get when I finish my studies are more monitors.

Half the fun is in building the rig! I loved hand picking all the parts, waiting for them to arrive, and finally assembling everything! You get a real sense of acomplishment when all the hard work you put in comes together.

ive always wanted to build my own rig but i wouldnt know where to start lol There are loads of really helpful guides out there. Of course, if you do get stuck, there's the helpful people on here to offer a hand. :)
