Saw that a while back. Awesome parenting. And I bet she'd claim that due to his new behaviour and attitude (caused no less by too much WoW) asking or telling him to cut back on playing would anger him! And she can't control him... parents these days have it so hard, my parents never had to tell me to do anything, I grew up perfect with little to no intervention on their behalf -.-

When I was a early teenager playing my Nintendo (Nes) My parents took control of my computer games. My parents were not strict at all, but disciplined my use of computer games.
Looks like that mother has no control over his son, in my eyes its Parental control which is the problem not the game.

Growing up, my dad cut the TV power cord and attached a female end to the TV. He then made a cord with a male connector at each end which he took to work or locked up.
So we didn't watch TV all day... until I learned a little about electricity and how to pick locks. :)

Classic, i'll have to keep that in mind.
I am a electrician and have thought about putting security switches on stuff to keep my wife and kids from screwing things up or messing with my computers. Or putting timers on stuff like lights in the bathrooms because they leave them on all night.
I was also thinking about putting in a master control in the basement for phone, cable and power that can also be controlled via the internet, same with the thermostat.
But in the end i was to lazy to do it.
