Saw a thread over in PvP about this, and it got me thinking. How are people going to use this in PvE? Personally, I'm probably going to have an alternative DPS spec on all my non-DPS roles, so when I'm out and about I'm not treating every fight like an instance fight. The full list goes:

Paladin- Prot/Ret
Shaman- Resto/Elemental
Druid- Resto/Balance
Priest- Shadow/Holy
Mage- Fire/Fire (ain't broke, don't fix it.)
Warrior- Fury/Prot
Hunter- Beast/Survival
Rogue- Combat/Combat (again, ain't broke)
Lock- Affliction/Destro
Death Knight- Hybrid/Blood

I'm not sure I'll end up using it for multiboxing - what I'll probably do is have a dual spec for just my DK tank to switch him to a DPS/PvP spec for solo PvP.

Eventually my accounts will have toons allocated as follows:

A1) Moonkin
A2) Moonkin
A3) Moonkin
A4) Druid Pally
A5) Druid Shaman

With dual specs I will be able to turn A4 and A5 into moonkins for PvP and tank/healer for PvE (gearing them up while sitting the pally and shaman on the sidelines... also, stealth runs ftw).

I do find myself wishing they do Triple Specs. Would make my quest to "gear everyone for everything" much easier.

I wonder how LFG dynamic is going to be affected. With 2 classes that can fill all 3 roles, and 4 classes that can fill 2, are people just going to start expecting others to switch on the fly?

Doubtful, because even with 2 specs its highly unlikely that most casual players will have even remotely decent gear for both specs.

True, but on the other hand, grabbing loot for your off spec seems a likely alternative when the off spec actually exists. How much loot get sharded that could go to an off-spec, but doesn't get rolled on because no one spent enough time with their off-spec to worry about gearing it? With it being a switch away now, gear should look far more tantalizing, especially when you can drop a few hundred gold for your 80 crafted set and be somewhat ok.

I think I will likely have a spec for when I box and when (more like if) I solo to raid or get lonely =(.

Paladin - Prot/Holy
Priest - Holy/Shadow (maybe Disc/Holy healing, not sure)
Druid - Balance/Resto
Shaman - Elemental/Resto (might test out the hybrid elemental spec (if it's still valid) too)
Mage - Fire/Arcane (maybe Frost)

For the mage I am likely going to test out which spec is ideal for boxing. Since I can't optimize my cast sequences due to missing Hotstreak or Missile Barrage, I want to determine which of the three specs is the best for button mashing.

I had planned to have a spec for heroic 5-mans and a seperate spec for raiding for all my toons, since there's some things I need covered in a 5-man situation, but in a raid situation I wouldn't need because they are standard from other class specs. Or things that are just useless in a raid sitation that I use in heroics all the time. But all the changes over the course of the expansion and recent patches, I couldn't even be bothered to stick around to try it on PTR.

Im thinking ill only use it on my current resto shaman and my paladin tank.
Ill just have an elemental/resto spec for the shaman.
And for the paladin i was going to have 2 tanking specs. 1 for raiding solo (which is what i do with him)that would include thigns like pursuit of justice and other things id like. And 1 for boxing.
