February 17th, 2009 � Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today announced plans for its fourth BlizzCon� gaming convention, to be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22.

Yeah, I think I will be going for the first time this year. I am excited. Gotta get those tickets early! I tried in '08 but sold out before I even blinked.

I like how the entire support structure for Blizz is quickly being gobbled up and used (rather transparently) as money printing machine. Wonder how long it takes before they wring the sponge dry and tear it apart looking for more water?

They had a 2005, 2007, 2008, and now 2009... so they really just missed one year. It's not like it has a history of being every other year. Plus with SC2 hopefully coming out soon, D3 on the horizon, I'm sure they've got another WoW expansion being planned, and their "Unannounced Next-Gen MMO," there's a lot for them to put up on display this year.

I went for the first time last year, and I thought it was well worth it. Definitely going again this year!

What is the best way to go about getting tickets? Just hope you check the site the day they go on sale?

They really need to split Blizzcon into

World of WarCraft Con

StarCraft/Warcraft Con and Diablo/New MMO Con

I am going to try again. Sold out on me last time and i wasted a TON of money not working, sitting at my pc trying to get tickets 8(
