I played WoW a couple years ago back when there were no expansions. Recently I remade my Warrior (after selling him) and realized that I hated playing him. Why? He couldn''t f***ing heal himself. So I made a Paladin for Blessing of Might and Heals. Then I started thinking....did I really make a Paladin (who's done every quest w/ my Warrior) for only two skills? I could do so much more!

The only problem is, I had no idea where to start. I have two machines (Q6600 @ 3.6, 8GB RAM, 4850HD) (i7 920 @ 4.0, 12GB RAM, 280GTX) and two keyboards. One is the G15 which I'm bound macros to for Immabot (guess which character that is <_<) and a Lyocsa which I bought recently. Yes, I realize the computers are overkill, and yes I realize I could probably run a 5 box w/ these two machines. Right now i'm mainly interested in figuring out what modes makes duo-boxing easier, I've looked around and noticed a lot of mods are geared towards 5 mans....anyone have ideas? I also realized that I didn't make the most dual-box friendly combo (two melees). So I'm begging the experts to give me some advice =(

jamba
any button mod. bartender4, macaroon with fix.
xperl, pitbull, or other unit frame mod.
recount/wws
omen
deadlybossmod
atlasloot
if you're going to mine or blaze, get gatherer.

bagnon for inventory.

tis all i can think of.

You'll want something to broadcast your keystrokes, hardware or software. When you get that set up you'll have to pick one character to be leader and the other to follow (doesn't prevent you from soloing just defines a pecking order when you're dual boxing)

Group abilities with similar cooldowns and frequency of use together on the same keys.
IE: Crusader's Strike / (Warrior's 31 pt talent) on keyboard key #2 (both 6 sec CD)
Judgement of Blah / Whirlwind (both 8 sec glyphed / talented) on key #3
Divine Storm / etc

On your follower make a macro for all of the above linked abilities:
/follow Leader
/assist Leader
/cast Ability
/startattack

It's probably better to have your Paladin as your follower since I find that my follower misses melee swings here and there and your warrior will need the rage.

Well, I got the two computers in sync and stuff my only issue now is...

I'm using hotkeynet, and I switch Windows sometimes. Every time I switch to my second computer, whichever key I held down on the first computer is still being held down. I then have to go back to the first window, hit that key again, and it'll stop being pressed. Is there a way to fix this? =/

There isnt really a fix for it, I had/have the same problem youll quickly learn to let go of keys before switching windows. The problem is you're switching windows and WoW is still registering the keypress on the old window, Ive had ALOT of aggro fun form it but as a Warr/Sham it was easily taken care of.

As for 2 melee, I did the same thing as you Warr/(melee-healer) it isnt that bad, just make an assist macro I use:
/assist focus
/startattack [target=focustarget]

Ensures my slave(sham) is in melee mode and I just have qbound to 1, where that is for warriors charge. Basically charge warrior and sham follows in attack mode, the most annoying thing you will notice is the slave generally has bad vision of the target Id say 60/40 for the target being in LoS, with some manuvering it can be placed in LoS with ease. The paladin will definately be mainly a heal/buff bot, but I found in AoE with shaman I could lay down magma and assist in aoe dps etc, guess consecrate would be the same for you. I leveled as resto, which I sort of regret granted it allowed my warr to tank multiple mobs in crap gear with ease, but I am now respecing to a enhance/resto mix

Gluck

If ya have anyother questions Id be glad to help, I just hit 60 so have a bit of experiance for double melee under my belt 8)

My guys are 71 right now. Prior to finding these forums I went through 70 levels of using the paladin as a buff/healbot (ie. his name is Immabot). I really wish I had made a Priest instead of Paladin because it seems a hell of a lot easier. My setup right now is literally playing two characters at once (very little scripts/macros besides /assist main /follow main, and some focus heal macros). The LoS thing really is pissing me off though. I'll be rolling a Priest after I get these two to 80...maybe w/ a Shaman or Rogue.
