Easy way to do this is get $10 and go buy a Visa Gift Card, go to the keyclone website and D/L it, buy it useing the Visa Gift card.

Octopus is free but I do support Keyclone. If $10 breaks the bank, that is pretty sad. You spend at least $30 a month plus $15 or so on electricity and $40+ on your ISP. And all of those recur monthly. $10 one time is MORE than reasonable for the savings you get.

Keyclone is the win for a software solution, I tried going hardware, but the response time with Keyclone was actually better just because of the functionality.

Depending on your setup, you could give AHK or Octopus a try. Both have threads on this forum.

Multibox also has a thread somewhere here, and is free if slightly cranky to set up first time around.

They're all free.

I use keyclone and I love it and it's pretty easy to setup, the $10 is very much worth it

Multiboxing is so expensive that trying to skimp on good software seems like a terrible idea.

The short answer to your question, though, is no, there's no free alternative with all the features.

Considering the painless and easy operation I've had with Keyclone so far, I love it. No scripts or archaic macros to write with it (haven't used Maximizer with it yet). I had no PayPal issues or anything, but the two or three posts I've read by people that do have a problem with it had the issue resolved fairly quickly it seems. Plus, the author keeps a very obvious presence here on these forums (under the name "keyclone"; imaginative, I know).

There is only one thing I hate about the software: the fact that it connects to the Internet everytime I start it (I use a SW firewall along with my HW firewall, so I hate anything that connects without me explicitly doing so). If that was removed, I'd be completely happy with the product.

Keyclone is great and what got me into dual boxing. I bought 2 copies and have it on my laptop and home computer.

Skip buying coffee in the morning for a few days and that should more than cover the $10

A one-time $10 ($20 for me because I'm using 2 pc) is nothing compared to my monthly subscription cost for WoW (6 accounts x $15) = $90 per month.

That reminds me, I need to change my subscription to either 3-month or 6-month.

I have to agree, keyclone is by far the most reliable multiboxing software i've used :)

ya 10 bucks per seat or whatever it is isnt much. my only concern is it sounds like it doesnt work entirely with daoc. otherwise id be all over it.

key-clone is by far the easiest, well constructed program to use when your multiboxing...

your wife would kill you over $10? just tell her your eating take-away 1 less time this month to cover the costs.

I would also like to add that keyclone (the guy :)) does indeed provide great service, I upgraded my system last week and needed to reactivate keyclone, so I contacted him, and I was back up and running within a few hours.
