so i have been reading up on all this craziness, and a friend of mine finally convinced me to start playing wow again. so i'd figure id go ahead and pick up the expansion and pick up another copy of the original so i could dual box/ triple-xp grind, and if i didn't like it i could give my account to my bro or whatever. anyways, i finally got myself set up with hotkeynet, and played around for a bit with two mages. blasting the crap out of mobs is pretty awesome, and i can see how imba it would be with 5/10 etc. anyways, i had a couple of questions...

for starters, is there anyway to (legally) have both characters use the same keystrokes (for example placing the characters on top of eachother and using wasd to control both as opposed to one following the other)?
is there any way to (legally) emulate the mouse movement/clicks (for example, both characters clicking questgivers/looting/accepting quests at the same time as opposed to tabbing over each time)?
i've read multiple forums/blue posts and have failed to come to a conclusion one way or another on these particular issues.

and as far as multiboxing goes, i know why most people keep from multiboxing with melee classes due to its difficulty/losing autofollow, but something stuck out to me in the form of rogues shadowstep. it might be hard at first to level a pair of rogues but would it be viable later on down the road to do something like:

rogue 1:shadowstep > cheapshot > ss spam > eviscerate > etc etc
rogue 2:shadowstep > ambush > ss spam > kidnery shot > etc etc

just a random thought, would appreciate any input. in the meantime i may just go ahead and roll a rogue + a priest/healadin or something ridiculous like that.

damn 3 days later 140 views and not a single response, thanks for the warm welcome :/

last night i tried out a rogue/mage combo that worked out pretty well. mage pulls with fire/frost while the rogue is ready to ambush/cheapshot right as the mob gets in range. i'll be messing around with some more combinations today and tomorrow.

You're using Hotkeynet so everything you asked about is legal and possible. However, it's not advised.

Using wasd for follow will eventually lead to your toons veering off from each other. The smallest difference in the way they're facing will become large very quickly. Just use follow.

Jamba is useful for completing quests at the same time, but if you're looking for a tool to broadcast mouseclicks (for accepting quests) then HKN will work. There should be some sample scripts floating around this forum or the HKN website.

People are multiboxing rogues and apparently having a good time doing it. Shadowstep made it much easier.
