Post one of the "violating terms of use" emails.
As I understand it, GMs won't tell you anything unless they actually action your account. Those could just be phishing emails.

True. Many accounts are sent these types of emails, if you reply to them its like giving them your account.

Interesting. I bet they are scam emails. Ive been boxing wow off and on for 4 years and have gotten tons of tells saying ive been reported and prolly twice as many more that im not aware of and never gotten an email from Bliz about it. Only once did I get a 'warning' because I had ascii characters in my slave toons names and at that time it was against the TOS, where its not now.

I've never heard of Blizzard sending emails to let you know you're under suspicion. Either a GM contacts you in game to discuss it, or they ban your account if they feel they have enough evidence.
Regard any email from "Blizzard" as dubious unless it is in response to something you took action on yourself, such as calling their customer support.

Just learn to live with them, I guess.
The only thing I would add is, it is entirely suspicious that GMs are emailing you saying you are under investigation. I would love to see those, too.
If you are getting those by external e-mail, it's phishing - report them to Blizzard, it's some ahole trying to steal your accounts.
If you are getting them in-game, put in a ticket to discuss it with a GM, they simply do not do that - they're fake e-mails, and if so, you can get some ahole permabanned pretty quick. Blizzard *really* frowns on pretending to be a GM. I havent heard of anything that allows you to spoof official Blizzard in-game mail, but the cheaters and scammers can get creative at times.

Pro-tip: stop caring and start ignoring them. Seriously.
If they don't stop bothering you in chat and your ignore list is getting to its size limit, it can also be fun to play a little game with them: End all sentences to them with "sweetheart". The abusive person is likely to be male and considers you a threat, so this kind of verbal behavior will be considered as strange and inappropriate to him, which basically feeds his mental inbalance at that moment :P I have experienced only 2 outcomes with this: either they start ignoring you(they're shutting up! mission accomplished!) or the go completely nuts (verbally) and break the Terms of Service and you report them. Either way, it's a win-win situation.
(strategy shamelessly stolen from someone else on the forum ... it really works!)

I agree with the users above: If you get suspension mails and your account still works, it means the mail was fake.

End all sentences to them with "sweetheart". I like to throw in a few "princess" and "sugar" replies too. It's great fun..especially after they've told you repeatedly they are a guy.

GM's keep sending me Emails your accounts are under teh suspission of violating our terms of use. bla bla bla bla bla..That is not from Blizzard, it's a phishing scam. This is the latest way to steal player account info. A week or two ago, there were a number of people asking about these emails in the CS Forum, and one of the CMs explained that Blizzard will not send emails to players they are investigating. The only email you will get is the one stating that they took action against your account.

Sadly it doesn't, because there's a limit to the ignore list. This is a big fail at Blizzard's side in my opinion.
50 friends and 50 ignored contacts is definitely not enough if you consider the abuse and nice people that you meet over several years.
It's very annoying when you try to ignore people to find out that your list is full. However, it's amusing to do social/psychological experiments on those abusive people.
There are mods out there to expand your friends and ignore lists. Also, some mods that share you friends/ignore lists amougst your toons (on the same account).

When I play my 5 identical orc shamans, I get a lot of attention.
But when I play my mixed team (see sig) I hardly get any attention at all.
So I guess if you wan't to avoid the tells try a mixed team :)
I know that if you are playing a high level team already this might not be an option,
but for everyone starting new teams it is worth considering.

last night i got stuck in eye of the storm with my 4 guys.
so i had to send ingame tickets.
the GM response on one char was
"i fixed it and already did your other characters too, enjoy your multiboxing."
and apparently he forgot to close one ticket, so he asked on that one
"are you stuck again?" me= nope, was still an open ticket,
he asked="where is your fifth char then?"
so don't be scared when you are multiboxing and they report you (aslong the char accountnames are to the same person offcourse!!)

So I guess if you wan't to avoid the tells try a mixed team :)I spent the past weekend doing outside quests with my mixed squad, and got zero attention as far as I could tell. No one followed me around, no one sent tells, nada. I think perhaps one or two people stopped for a moment and then moved on. But it's possible that they didn't stop because they saw my group. Even when I was doing a few quests in areas where other people were questing, no one paid me any mind. About the only interaction I had was when a druid buffed my paladin.
Tell you the truth, it went so smoothly that I didn't even realize it until just now. I've had very good experiences on this server thus far. :)

max ignore list of 50 is a huge failing on bliz?????
OMG! what have you been doing that got you 50 people in your ignore list?
I can't remember ignoring more than 3-4 people, you must have pissed off a whole guild.
I usually just don't respond to abusive people and anyone that uses foul language gets reported and ignored. ( even then, that's only been a few people )
maybe the PvP servers are more aggressive than my PvE server.

How many people have you seen writing the childish "anal" spam in chat? I have seen it dozens of times. "report as spam" is not sufficient as it only blocks that chat right until you relog. Just 1 occurence of such spam can cover about a dozen people in 1 minute of time. (*)
How many times have you been harassed as multiboxer? I had this about a dozen times where it was pretty extreme and another dozen times where it was at least annoying.
How many PUGs have you done? If you've done several hundreds, then there's probably about a dozen people that you really don't want to run with again, because they can't stand a wipe or are just bad team players for different reasons.
Then there's also the annoying level 1-10 alts that are begging for gold in major cities. They ask for 10 silver and when you give it to them they just continue spamming(are they bots?). I'm not talking about 1 or 2 beg messages, but about more than a hundred. I encounter about 1 of these characters per 2 months that I put on ignore.
You don't have to piss people off to have a big ignore list. I guess it's also server-dependant.
So yes, a size limit on the ignore list is a huge fail. Storing a bit more text data won't harm my computer(or the servers) in any way.
btw: I was recently checking my ignore list to see if some of the extreme cases were still on WoW, but quite a few were actually banned (or have moved to another server), since they weren't even in the armory anymore. Some of the multiboxing hate I got was pretty harsh, so I'm sure that a good few had a ban.

Now that you guys have brought this up, I too have noticed that I get almost no attention whatsoever from people with my mixed group. I get the occasional person obviously stop and look, but then go on their way again. I've only ever gotten one "botter" comment, and that was about a month ago. As far as I can tell, no /reporting of me yet.

Why Facebook wants you to have 100,000 friends ('http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-10157313-71.html')
Suggestion to Blizz: Give us a larger friends/foes list.

An ex-guildy who has since quit the game did just that, but he put 20,000g in the window and then sat at his computer pressing the space bar every minute or so while watching TV.
He said the guy finally closed the window 2 hours later.
50 for an ignore list is not too bad, it all depends on how often you purge your ignore list.
If you just let it grow, it will fill up.
At one point I had the addon which allowed you to ignore as many as you wanted, and I ignored all the "anal" trade comments along with the repeated item link for the same item, the engineer made BC-era rifle was annoying for 2 months on my server.
