Hello!

Just thinking of different variations of a team to create. How do you think 4 DK's + 1 Resto druid would perform? Reason being is I already have a resto druid at 70, and will use RAF to get another team up to 55 so I can create the DK's.

So therefore I would have two teams.. Probably 4 Shamans + 1 Paladin as well.

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me. Its the fastest way to get 2 teams to 60 thats for sure :) WIth the paladin and the shaman, you can very effectively run 1 prot paladin 1 resto sham and 3 ele sham and do plenty of content. Then the 4 dks and resto gives you the same holy trinity. You could also run a DK tank with all of the shamans. I leveled 5 shamans, and am unsure if I want to run a Dk tank with 4 ele, or 3 ele 1 resto. I have 4 specced ele and 1 resto for now, but I cant decide how to proceed. Running through Ramps, I haven't needed a dedicated healer, so I think i will put the resto sham on another team. 4 elementals can do enough off healing to not need a dedicated healer, and the DK tank does a lot of dmg by himself, so its quite the powerful combo.

I run this and would heavily suggest you use a shaman, paladin or priest as the healer. I think Shaman would be best personally. Druids are great and I am managing, but they really really need a BIG heal for when you are like, "SHIIIIIIITTT!!!!!!" I save Healing Touch + Nature's Swiftness for this, however this tends to happen more than once a fight and well... you don't have nature's swiftness the second time around. I think once you have a well geared tank then a druid healer makes sense as they can heal while moving. I need to get some better gear on my druid healer before I think about switching to a shaman healer. Right now there are a few fights I know I could win with a shaman healer. I'm hoping once I get my druid up into the high 1000s in healing the difference will be night and day. We will see!

I played around with a 5x DK team. they seem pretty awsome but they aren't really dungeon viable without a healer.
they could handle most stuff but I usually ended up loosing one in a fight here or there.

your team sounds fine. I would prefer a shaman healer casting chain heals around and totems bufs myself but if you already have a druid, they a druid it is.

Well, since I would have both a druid and shaman... I will try out both options and see which work to my liking :-)

From the sounds of it, it looks like I'd be doing this team -- x1 DK ( blood ) x3 DK ( Unholy ) x1 Shaman/Druid ( Resto )

Will this team be viable for heroics at 80? Or would it be much smoother with x4 Shamans, x1 Paladin?

:-)

Thanks in advance!

Going w/o any shamans is risky... tremor totem does wonders for multiboxing.

I get the impression that most folks who have multiple DKs use a mostly blood build with some unholy talents, in order to get the stacking blood presence. I have a similar setup 4xdk and a druid and when I get around to them again, that's what I'm going to respec mine to.

My 5xDk setup is as follows:

1x Frost spec -- the damage mitagating tanker
1x Unholy spec -- run speed buff
3x Blood spec -- minor healing
Ok, so on the blood spec'd guys do not overlook the Glyph of Rune Tap increasing the heal on yourself by 10% and heals the group for 10% of their health. Glyph of Death Strike seems useful across the board. Note the runic sword spell is pretty mucha mirror of the summoned gargoyle spell -- so the same key calls the respective one according to the spec. Round-Robin'ing Mark of Blood is very helpful.

I run 5x Draenai so I have the racial heal to make things go a little more smoothly. A dedicated healer swapped in for one DK would work well, I'd expect.
