Hello!

I've been looking at the many posts in this forum regarding the difference between 2 VelociRaptor's in Raid 0 and an SSD. I'm building my rig to be an everyday rig, not just for multi-boxing WoW. I play CoD4, L4D, CSS, WoW.. other MMO's and whatever else to come. Therefore as much as I believe the SSD would be a benefit, I just cannot see myself using it often.

Would 2 VelociRaptor's be a better investment for me? I'm sure the performance is still lower than SSD, however the speed is still there.

Thanks in advance!

Surely a question in need of a solid answer.....

Im going to raid0 two raptors (not veloraptors) tonight and see whats up, SSD sure looks better on paper but the latest infos is that there are some serious fragmenting issues ... it seems to just go back and forth. Acard seems solid still though.

it depends on the SSD, the intel has a 250Mb/sec read which you would need 3 or 4 raptors to match that.

I think you should go with two Intel SSD's 8)
