Haha, I'm so going to roll Warlocks ^^ Maybe with a decent healer it's possible to tank Heroics ?! What do you mean :) Also Pets gain healing (Demonology) by 20%(?) of the Warlock dmg dealt.

It's nothing special, but for me it's that what I always wanted (like most of the hunters want for their pet). My main is a warlock and the VW was sometimes so squishy, I hated it.

Just wanted to share.

I have 5 warlocks and a shadow priest ready to roll in hellfire. I've always thought that the old VW pet gets bad press, many times, I find that my Felguard is ok for damage but it really lacks the grunt of the old VW for tanking and taunting. Amazing vid and hope for heroics for me :D

You can redruce the dmg of a pet by 45% + 10% Melee rduction lolz xD look here thirty 30% when you're healing your pet yourself.

you can heal yourself up with SL (also a bit to the Pet)

I guess a Hunter is needed for the Aggro shot, and Rogues can do that too?! So the VW can keep aggro.

I just picked my locks up again from level 62 and was the first time I played them in months. They are now 72. I'm LOVING some of the changes. Felguards seem to hold aggro good. Actually better than my VW it seems. Another couple of awesome things that changed. Fel Armor now gives you 2 to 3% of your maximum health every 5 seconds. And you can now also charge your pets mana with life tap. What these two things mean is you basically will never run out of mana and almost never have to eat or drink. This is a huge change.

Oh yea he's in 25 man gear, we've been clearing 25 man naxx for awhile, our guild was the first on server to do 3 drakes on 25 man.

I hope that druid wasnt you, lol. He got hit by one of the first waves... I realize that a guild that good can keep him alive, but way to be an anchor during a raid! lol.

To clarify this :)

It was not the first time someone did something like this, there was one Warlock you pushed the HP of his VW to almost 90.000 HP - 89.800+ or something. I' mean wtf?! That's insane, I was always jealous to Hunter Pets because of their customisation but now? I'm just smiling^^

Yeah this is talked about all over the warlocks den. My main raider is a lock. I was always a huge affy/VW fan and tried the felguard in BC and hated it. Found that he did do more damage but couldn't hold aggro at all. Come WOTLK I did affy/vw again and I was much better geared and MUCH BETTER skilled and the vw was just useless. After listening to the die hard fans of the Felguard I tried the respec. I LOVED IT!!!!!!! The changes to then Felguard were amazing. The upgrades to his threat, the fact that every time I lifetap he gets mana, and then the addition of every bit of damage I do heals him then add on to the fact that he hits HARD. Granted some of these would work for the VW also, but the VW just can't do the threat nor the damage. My FG was critting for 1200+. Again, I was a huge fan of the vw but there is no denying that the Felguard is just king right now. I have no single box leveled two different warlocks to 80 with this method. Fantastic.

On a side note, the Felguard has also allowed me to solo things that I would not have been able to do with the VW.

Interessting. Do you think a lock group would be able to do heroics at 80 with the new pet buffs?

LOL here we go with the new flavor of the month, ALL LOCK GROUP! That is until Blizzard catches wind of it (like the blood presence stacking) and nerfs them into the ground. /sadpanda

No way, the VW has almost no threat gen. The thing does about 500-1k TPS which is just awful for any kind of instance ( barely covers heal aggro ), in Sarth 3 drakes you don't actually DPS sarth for awhile into the fight ( once all 3 other drakes are dead ) and at that point your drake tank picks it up and tanks. The VW could never solo tank a mob that is being dps's as it has no true taunt and awful threat gen, so no worries there. It is a damn brick shit house when it comes to taking damage though =). For trash, maybe could work it out as trash die's so fast a VW could jsut delay it's arrival at your caster's doorsteps. However on a heroic boss it would just lose threat around 90% and never get it back.

the VW building threat isn't really an issue, so much as one of do you have the time and patience for it to do so?

Yeah, I solo stuff with my vw tanking all the time, works much better than a felguard in every other way, just gotta have the patience to wait for it to build up threat.
Threat management is key, and long term survival soloing a hard fight is much about that anyway when using a pet tank.

Soloed the raptor boss in ZG a couple weeks ago on my lock using VW to tank with demon spec.

Another important key to vw tanking threat is the demonic empowerment ability which increases its treat output.
