I know I know.. boxing melee classes are ugly. But has anyone tried 3 pallies and is there any good news about them?

I was thinking 1 of each spec. I use 2 screens on 1 monitor so I can tank and dps on 1 screen, then have the 3rd on another screen back just healing the Tank & dps. will this work & for how long? :)

Then down the line possibly doing some world PVP or bg's all three of them healing.

Any advice or sugestions

Thanks

I havent tried this setup myself but if you ask me you will be better off having all 3 as rets whilst leveling. At least with dual specs coming in next patch though u can have them specced like u say on the second spec then switch to that if you want to attempt an instance or grab 2 extra dps and go to an instance. I can say though that 3 healers is good fun in AV, people have a really tough time touching you :)

Dual specs are level 80 unless they change it before its released.

I'll concur with the ret spec on all 3 as noted above. As far as general suggestions, I did something like that with my shams up through level 54ish. I plan on doing a 5-pally group when I get back to boxing here in a month or two. I'd probably split up their spells something like this:

Aura: Devotion/retribution/resistX
Seal: Seal of Wisdom on all 3
Judge: Wisdom/Light/Justice

Then I'd just have a basic judge/consecrate spam macro. I'd also use Blessing of Wisdom on all 3 as mana will be the only thing you're gonna ever notice a lack of, IMO. I'd eventually respec one to prot, but I'd not worry about that until you hit 80 and the dual-spec option becomes available.

Bind a strafe and follow key together or use a /click or something. Your follow toons will do this orbit dance around you and always face you. Makes it nice and easy to get them to swing around in back of whatever mob your killing.

I hope they will change this. I would have a lot more fun leveling if I could make my paladin prot and a shammy resto to make instancing easier. Im sure solo players would agree with this also.

I'm playing around with 5x DKs and it's not that bad doing an all mele group.
I've just added /follow focus to my main dps macro

/assist focus
/follow focus
/castsequence reset=5 xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx

then spam this macro. I would assume 5x pally wouldn't be much different unless you had one being a healer.

Here is the macro that I use for my feral druids. Works perfectly for what I need. I am sure you can use this for your pallys.

/assist party1
/cast [target=party1target] (Ability)
/startattack
/follow party1

I 5 boxed pallies up to 60, and they were one of my favorite groups. Lots of healing, lots of AOE......lots of HP's

I don't really see why people hate melee classes so much.

It's because they're lazy, weakminded fools!

My main group is 5 pallies only at 71 so far though but going all the way.

To the OP I'd recommend all retribution to at least 40 and then switch one to protection for the holy shield + avenger's shield + hammer of righteous (is it hammer of righteousness? or is it called something else? the 51 point prot talent anyway)

Have each pally do a different judgment and a different bless (take blessing of kings on one) and you'll be laughing.

I would move the /startattack to just after the /assist, just in case the spell doesn't go off. If i'm not mistaken, the macro will stop if the ability is on CD, or on the GCD. If you put /startattack before that, you guarantee that they will at least be whacking away at something, instead of standing there like an idiot...
