View Full Version : Setting Wow Affinity for processors ?
How exactly do I do this. I have a dual core processor how would you ensure that each wow you have loaded is set to the best possible way..
Thanks :)

Depends.
But Keyclone is your best bet :)
If you're running wows out of different folders, then you can download a program called imagecfg that will change the wow.exe to only run on a certain cpu.
If you're running wow out of the same folder, then you will have to go to task manager and set the affinity there. EVERY single time you launch an instance of wow.

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure WoW will run automatically on two-cores optimally. WoW will now take advantage of two cores, so you shouldn't have to tweak it to get better performance on a dual-core.
Ok I will use keyclone for sure to run it but thanks for the responses :)
Someone also said that it is "bad" to run wow on one video card......is that true ?

Someone also said that it is "bad" to run wow on one video card......is that true ?That makes no sense. 95% of people run wow (and all other games) using a single video card. SLI/Crossfire isn't that common among the general gaming public. (SLI and Crossfire are setups where 2 video cards work together for faster performance)

WoW doesn't gain any benefit from SLI setups.
