It's released in korea now, china in a month or so and NA\EU 3-8 months i would guess

It does look very nice, but I doubt I will be bothering with it. for two reason:

1. Auto Assault. Bought it, loved it, played the hell out of it, then they pulled the plug on it because it wasn't making enough money.
2. Tabula Rasa. Same as above.

I'll watch it with interest, but I doubt WoW will simply vanish on me any time soon :D

Content, content, content.

I've seen too many visually appealing games that were boring to play (ala FF Online) that I'm not going to make any decisions on new games until they've had a little time to pan out. Tabula Rasa was great for its mechanics, visuals, and style, but it severely lacked content that made me want to keep playing more than a couple months (except base fights, those rocked).

Huxley seemed to have that magic mix of content (pvp and pve) that I thought I would have loved, but that game has been plagued by so many setbacks that I'm already dubious of its developer and development model.

Being pretty is nice, but has nothing to do with how good the game is, overall.

So dont show me any gfx vids, show me content, content, content. For everything else, I really do not care. Not another nice-looking mmo that dies after 2 months cause there is no content after all.

Also agreed, any small to medium bunch of guys can throw together a website and some video footage to make it look like they've got something good.

I have been SOOO stoked for this game looking up news for it every day.

So far from interviews/QnA's/Videos/Game play they have everything right.
They seem to have the smartest of addons and ability to change your characters/interface/weapons/armor/wings
Everything is customizable, fresh new story.
The graphics are disgustingly awesome

Combat looks crazy entertaining because of combos (kinda like AoC) Combos make a fight interesting,
-you can break your combo to click that awesome cooldown or use your daeva points
-keep going with the combo to get to the finisher hoping its not broken
_Anyhow thats more choices then press 1 macro for all your dps or pressing 1,1,1,1,1,1,2,2,2,3,1,1,1,1,1,1,2,2,2,3,1,1,1.....

The story is freshing but im deft. rolling the elyos. Their terrain reminds me of the classic days playing the "good" final fantasy games.
PvPvE is a fun concept kinda like wintergrasp but more integrated with one and another.

Top things to look forward too in Aion:
1.) Grinding to achieve "hero" title at least once in the game / Pretty much while your a hero your as strong as a raid boss against pvp targets only. When the other faction kills you they reicieve better that normal loot. When your faction keeps you alive the recieve a "hero" buff from what i hear.
2.) Templar tanking, Combos, Daevapoints, Finishers, "Overdrive" like moves.
3.) Professions. From what i have seen there are already "16" professions. 8 while your a human 8 more while your a daeva.
4.) Fighting the Baular in the abyss HAVE YOU SEEN HOW COOL THEY LOOK>> OMg...
5.) Epic warfare for the abyss. In korean beta - a guy on the forums told a story about when he was playing the seperation between elyos and asmodians hated eachother so much that they stopped, helped eachother kill the invading baluar so they could go back to killing one and another without interruptions.

I dunno they just seem to have everything that i could think of.
It will be refreshing to play a new mmo. I love wow but i have spent my time with it.
