Well Ive been dualing my warr/sham for the past 2 weeks and got a lot of help when i first started, and have all the basics down. Im just having a few issues with making the classes work together in a fluid manner(if that makes sense). I basically just healbot/windshock with the shaman, or totem when multiple mobs, but aside from that Im basically duoing with someone afk lol.
Any tips for making actions more fluid would be really appreciated, tips for qbinds etc would be awesome. I think my main problem is not completely understanding the macro system so any tips on making macros which make combat easier would be great, I just started WoW again so I am completely lost with the system.
Right now Ive got keybinds for 1-4 +shift and e+q but having a bit of trouble mixing together warrior abilities, with shaman abilities bleh :S

I'm not sure what you mean by fluidity but if you mean using more individual abilities then thats down to your macro setup. For questing you will find that the extra FIREPOWER is not really needed unless you are fighting elites or groups of mobs then things will feel a little more fulid and team-like, for grinding you probably dont even need totems. If you can team with others and do instances you will find the combination a little more exciting maybe.
I run a mixed team and it's pretty much, drop totems (q) Pally pull multiple mobs , concercrate / dps spam (1) get aggro Mages Fostbolt and shaman lightning, Mage Priest AOE (arcane explosion I'm still working on Blizzard but screen jumping is a little slow so I need more practice) spam and shaman drops Magma totem (2) evertything dies rinse and repeat.
I imagine things are dieing very fast for you also.
While dual boxing a lock shaman combination it also felt like a healbot because normal mobs die so quickly many of your abilities are not needed. Try pulling groups of mobs, Melee types, you'll find that it's more fun and you will have a better feeling of synergy between you toons. Shaman sets up and warrior pulls them back to the camp or just rushing in and blaze them where they stand.

I also yea might have a healing capable class in group but you will level ten times faster if they are both dps like war/ele shaman. This way if your warrior needs a heal you can heal him but still he wont because you will be killing mobs to fast.

By fluidity I mean, having the classes work together as seamless as possible, which I know is not completely possible as they are different classes.
I am 33 atm, with warrior being arms/fury(16/8) and shamn being enhance/resto(13/11) and basically have the shaman assist/melee with windfury up on a 2h. Basically all quest mobs are trivial, even if multiple spawns at the same time, but I just feel as if Im lacking something ? Eh guess it doesnt quite matter as Im likely only going to 60 as a duo, than Ill focus on the shaman. Still not sure what to do once I hit 60 any advice here would rock too!
So yeh any macro tips would be awesome, does /castsequence Totem A Totem B Totem C etc still work? and after the final totem it refreshes the macro back to A?
